How come Gayageum uses the word ‘Geum’, while Geomungo use ‘Go’?

Gayageum and Geomungo, is a Korean traditional instrument that looks almost the same but different and similar but dissimilar.
Korea's representative plucked string instrument since both are representative plucked string instruments of Korea, they are played in a similar method by plucking strings while sitting.
Gayageum ends with the word ‘Geum’, then shouldn't the Geomungo also be called as Geomun’geum’?
