You got a like. Would be fun sometime if we could see the final result, like this bike, maybe in another video, just a 1-minute part of a longer video. I'm a fan of custom motorcycle. Great video again, Jeff
Hopefully the guy brings the bike back after he has put it all back together and you can get some content to show us. I would love to see how it looks on the bike. Great stuff!
Dude one of your best videos yet. Awesome voice over with non distracting music in the background. I learned that if this is what I want to achieve then yes I gotta put in the time. No easy way to the finish. Thx! And I need better tools lol
I just shot some prismatic universe definatly meant to buy ka chow but im happy with the result. Its more of a dark gray than the black I was looking for. Still looks killer !

haha this gets brought up a lot honestly, and it depends. I think part of it is habit from older less effective powder units, but honestly, I know it works better to get powder into corners. I Have tried it side by side and there isnt a doubt in my mind it helps at this point. On flat open surfaces it doesnt change much
Great video glad to see you're making videos again I ordered a pound of this stuff after I seen your video. You do a full cure on it before you do the top coat?
Great video. Quick question brother.; Do you put in the black (in the recessed numbers on the deeby cover) followed by the clear coat and THEN cook them, essentially for a second time? So a total of 2 different colors, clear coat, and 2 sessions In the oven? Thanks for your time man
I'll bet the habit of shaking the gun comes from starting out with a cheap gun. I had to shake my harbor freight gun to make it work right. Then I modified it and it works way better with no need to shake it to fluidize the powder. I'm just a home gamer but get by very nicely ...
@UnknownCoatings Copy that. I don't want to spend the big money for quality gear since I'm only doing it here and there. But I'm envious when I watch you work, it looks like a breeze with good equipment. O well...
I just had a harley primary cover powdercoated and asked for the clear over it , but it came out orange peely and dry spots everywhere, and they coated the mating surfaces and the backside! Is this piece toast or could it be blasted and saved? It does need that metal mating surface right for a primary cover?
I was just curious. When I rebuilt my shovelhead I remembered being unpainted or powdercoated in that area. No doubting you in any way. You do excellent work.
Do you mind sharing how much you charged for that job? Looks like you powdered almost the same amount of thing I powdered for my bike. Bought a hyper smooth set up from Columbia coatings and have loved using but still like knowing how much these random things I do for myself would have cost if I took them somewhere.
Hello can u do a video about powders, combinations, what type of base powder is the best, transparent powder what seperete from other powders, can you cower all powder typs it weel be of grate use :D
This video style is awesome to follow

Lower rocker box covers
It's the rocker boxes top of the jugs, cilinders rocker arms are in them
pretty nice video man keep it up like this
Thanks for the kind words!
Nice vid, thanks for your take on the blue tape. Why do you shake the gun so much while coating?

I have always loved Copper Vein as a colour, never worked with it myself though

Those are rocker box covers. Lowers
Is there a black powder with that kind of pearlescent, but with just one color?
Great video and great work. What temp was your oven and how long did you cook them for. Was it the same temp and time for both coats?
Candy purple
Any particular one?
@Unknown Coatings the candy purple from prismatic is there more? Or a better one?
What kind of Gema setup are you using? If you could start over with a new system what would you use?
That ka chow is dope tho
Where can I get that ring at the front of the gun for better coverage
Prismatic illusion rootbeer
What kind of blue tape is that? And where did you get it? Looking for some! Thanks!
It's Epsi brand and I get it direct from them
Nice job 👏 what's that part called that helps with powder to flow better it's on your gun
Helps it flow better ?
did you use a primer first?
i see sparkles but does color shift powder coat exist?

I dont think that was the reason, though I never bothered with a harbor freight one so maybe its different there! i appreciate the kind words!

It can absolutely be saved. Sorry that happened to you. I would remove the powder from the mating surface at a bare minimum
Great video, just out of curiosity, inside the lifterblocks where the pushrod tubes slide down, will that seal being powdercoated?
Where the o ring sits?
@@UnknownCoatings yes, shouldn't that area be taped off?
Not according to the shop that brings em in all the time. I don't know enough about em but they build em for a living so I just go with their requests
I was just curious. When I rebuilt my shovelhead I remembered being unpainted or powdercoated in that area. No doubting you in any way. You do excellent work.
how well does the corona ring work for 1st and second coats
Honestly it's never off that gun. I don't see any amazing difference
My color is purple to Blue hypershift. Fun fact, i.m a hobby Coster and buy the pigments on Ali express en try everything myself.
sir can i ask what powder gun you're using? my entry level gun can't do 2 coats. the 2nd coat just dont stick.

What Gun Nozzel u using?
Factory flat nose
Shocker yellow with heavy silver base.
I prefer glowing yellow but nearly identical! That's a great base coat too!
Good video, but the music is distracting. Fade the music out while you’re speaking, back in when you’re not narrating. Beautiful work
