- 🚨Huge news about how you can ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom!
Disney not only just revealed the opening date for WDW’s new Princess and the Frog ride, but important information about how to get on this ride - and it’s a bit different than any other ride at Disney World.
The opening date is June 28th. There will also be previews for DVC, D23, and Annual Passholders.
Now, how to ride: There are going to be two ways to get on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
First is the Virtual Queue, which works just like Tron or Guardians of the Galaxy. There will be two openings a day, at 7 am and at 1 pm. You can check out my page for my videos on the Virtual Queue to learn the fastest way to join - those tips will apply here.
The second way to get on the ride is a bit of a surprise, because Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be included with Genie+. The other Virtual Queue rides have Individual Lightning Lane. So you can get on the ride even faster with Lightning Lane with Genie+.
And there will be no standby queue, at least at opening. Disney says they expect to open a standby line sometime soon after Tiana opens, which is great news for fans of simplicity.

I feel bad for anybody who didn’t get to experience Disney World without this virtual queue and Genie+ nonsense. Standby lines and fast passes worked just fine. Then Disney got greedy, built a bunch of “budget” hotels, took away ALL deals/incentives, and cash grabbed wherever they could. The entire company is a shell of what it used to be. Walt would be PISSED.
Well said, Disney is a "shell of what it used to be." Genie+, Lightening Lane, and the app ruins the experience. It's no longer a relaxing experience, more stress planning every detail.
@@ThemeParkSage Exactly… Paying all that money to be stressed.
I don’t mind the virtual queue too much, but I do really hate the genie+ system and lightning lanes. It’s just so obvious.
@@abit359 Virtual queue is not guaranteed though. You have to take time out of your day, bury your face in your phone right at 7am or 1pm to get a spot in the queue. If they're sold out, then you cannot get on without paying for Genie+. However, I understand the idea behind the virtual queue to limit crowds.
You should have experienced Disney parks before fastpass, lines were MAX 30 mins.
All of this queue stuff is ridiculous nobody’s what’s to pay all this money for tickets just be told you can’t ride a new ride. Because it’s …new??
yes... Disney is too popular. Honestly, if you want a better Disney experience, go to Tokyo Disney and Disney Sea on a weekday. Even for the flights, hotels, and tickets, its still cheaper with less wait and a better experience.
@@athenagreen5390 I went there on a Wednesday but it was still unbelievablyyy busy, like the business I expect from a weekendday, waiting for 2h for major rides etc., although it was in May, so maybe other months are better
because they're fucking greedy
Because there would be 10,000 people in line KAREN
@@gladitsnotme they could limit entry based on sales. That is their problem. Not the problem of vacationing families that spend hundred of dollars to stand in line and ride rides.
The only thing that really bothers me about this ride, is that it’s after the movie! I wish it was about the MOVIE’ I want the Shadow man, and Ray in the ride 😭
Yess same‼️
unless they break canon, that's basically describing a book report. i appreciate when the Imagineers get to maximize their creativity and maybe juust maybe come up with something more memorable for all visitors for generations to come and transcending whatever the 97 minute runtime could cover.
From the ride through Disney released it looks like there is no tension, no thrills and pretty much no story to it now. Stuff just happens and there is no sense of threat or pacing to it.
@@Gigaamped I mean pretty much every ride in fantasyland is a “book report” of the movie they’re themed after and they’re still beloved to this day. You also wouldn’t have to break cannon to have shadow man in a ride set after the events of the movies. It’s called storytelling. Disney has plenty of writers, I’m sure they could write a short sensible story for the ride about how he somehow escaped the shadow realm and we have to put him back in. Maybe we even get some help from Ray’s ghost, lighting the way.
I mean universal’s old shriek 4D ride was wildly popular and the antagonist was literally FARQUAD’S GHOST..
@@tristanandersen3974 hahaha dang i wish i experienced that before they turned it into Kung Fu Panda.
I agree the OG Fantasyland rides are beloved but to the same point, I don’t foresee the Little Mermaid ride to ever be beloved and I apologize for diverting away from OP’s comment to leave my note of caution. I agree that idea could make for a memorable attraction I just want to see a decent turnitin report back in the sense of them copying a story they’ve already told in a movie. Nonetheless I admit you can tell an endless amount of different stories with the same characters
The mountain looks so flat without the tree...
Literally…
They could’ve left the tree.
Would’ve still worked with it there.
@TheStupidSeal10-3-07 yeah, and in the concept art for the remodeling it was still there
Makes me sad
@@FauneSawyer In the words of the godfather, “Look how they massacred my boy.”
There really aren't mountains in the bayou, so I guess its thematically correct
Paying to wait in line after having paid to get in is pretty fucking bunk
genie+ is the only paid for one. virtual queue is literally completely free. virtual queue is the same as regular standing in line queue. except u arent forced to stand in the line.
@@bhperfig349 genie + formerly known as FastPass was included with your hotel reservation. Pay. Wall.
I remember waiting to get on ratatouille in Epcot and it was horrible not knowing when you would be called. I was so tired by the time I got in the ride I almost went back to my hotel and gave up. At least this ride is in a better park with more to do. It was so hard to keep having to take naps in the Hall of Presidents😂😂😂was t long enough
Virtual queues need to go away. If I’m spending minimum of $110 to get into the park after travelling hundreds to thousands of miles I should be able to get on a particular ride even if I have to wait 5 hours to get on it. I mean how long did people voluntarily wait for Figment popcorn buckets!!!!!
dude. virtual queue is the same as regular standing in line queue. except u arent forced to stand in the line.
@@bhperfig349exactly, there is no point in the virtual queue and it fills up so fast. I was at Magic Kingdom yesterday for the first time in almost 6 years so as soon as 7am came i opened the app to get in the queue for tron and it was already full. I was waiting since 12:55 later to get in at 1 and i got in but there is no point in a virtual queue because you hsve to be in the line anyway. You have to wait even longer with the virtual queue than the regular line
@@bhperfig349 i just came back from disney, completely agree, atleast u can ride other things whilst waiting for the virtual queue. thing is i got in 6 seconds after the 1pm queue was available and still had to wait over 5 hours for all the virtual queue ride. it’s honestly ridiculous bc you have to stay in the park or you’ll lose your slot. on top of that you still wait around an hour once you scan in?
Disney have made their app and queueing system so complicated and convoluted that I have no interest in going anymore
The fact that this ride is going straight to Genie+ instead of a Lightning Lane should mean one of two things. 1. (Unlikely) they are considering getting ride of ILL and testing putting Tiana’s straight to Genie+ to see if more people will buy. 2. Disney has no faith in the ride and doesn’t see it as ILL worthy. 🤔
if u don’t got a phone then how u affording to go to disney 💀💀
@@custardkreme that has absolutely nothing to do with Genie+ vs. Individual Lightning Lane debate for this ride. What I will tell you is that smart phone purchases are a prioritized luxury item, even by people who can’t afford them. I see it all the time. Owning a smart phone has no correlation to whether or not you can afford to go to Disney.
So you can’t just walk up to it and stand in line?
Not when it first opens. Either Virtual Queue or Genie+, but Disney did say a standby line will be coming sometime soon after opening.
@@Guide2WDW I just love going to the park without my phone so I can live more in the moment. Let us know if you hear any dates on a “old fashion” way to ride haha. Thanks for the content!
@scottheierman4481 I can definitely understand that. I will post an update once Disney announces more details about when the VQ will go away. Thanks for your question!
@@scottheierman4481 That's so bold of you, and I would want to try leaving me phone one day but the park kind of forces you to have your phone on you if want certain foods.
@@Guide2WDWdo you have to pay for virtual queue?
They removed the tree at the top of the mountain? :(
Yeah, and they themed the ride after the worst part of the movie. Instead of focusing on their adventure as frogs, they focus on advertising Tiana's restuarant. We shall see.
@@ThemeParkSage😱😱😩😩 sounds awful
So glad I've never been a Disney theme park fan. I'm astounded by the level of greed that exists in these parks that charge admission, charge for parking, up harve for certain rides, and overcharge for food and cheap souvenirs.
It really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. It’s really fun and there are a lot of good rides.
Virtual queue is free. All rides are free and you don’t have to pay for food bring your own
When I think of Disney I instantly think of Splash Mountain. I’m sure it’s cool and cute but… Splash Mountain 😢
Blame racists for making it a symbol of hate. If you don't believe me, look at the outrage. Plenty of rides have been replaced or rethemed, so why is this different?
Weird I think of all the Castles
@@GONEmypurpleflapjacki think of many things before an old ride based on a rarely seen movie named after a random 80s movie (splash), and generations will go to disney after tianas opens and grow with memories of that. Change happens and when it comes down to it, it's a log flume. I went to cali post guardians vs Tower of Terror and im sure tot was good.. but i love guardians lol
Yv😄🥺🤭🤑🥴❤
....why
My favs are disappearing: Splash Mountain, Great Movie Ride, Maelstrom, 20,000 Leagues, The Studio Backlot Tour. Disney going to far with IP agenda
Still so miffed that they converted Splash Mountain to this. To me it will always be Splash Mountain.
I feel lucky my family goes to Disney a lot, because I was able to experience what it was like before genie+ and virtual queues and all that. I’m still a kid, and I admit. It was better before all of that. It felt simpler but it was less stressful and fun. I would feel bad if Walt had to see this.
As a hardcore Disneyland enjoyer, both Disneyland and Disney are COOKED bro 😭🙏💀
A lot of fans are going to be very disappointed with this ride.
They seem happy now that Tiana is getting a ride but, after a few times they will be wishing she had gotten an all new attraction with a track-less ride system. We're halfway through 2024 and WDW Still doesn't have a track-less system attraction.
We’ll see if fans are disappointed. So far the animatronics look amazing.
But WDW now has 3 trackless rides: Rise of the Resistance, Remy, and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. It’s true Magic Kingdom doesn’t have any trackless rides yet.
@@Guide2WDWI’m sure we will get a trackless attraction sooner or later in Magic Kingdom as a new attraction, now what that may be I have no clue but it’ll exist someday
I rode it yesterday best ride ever
It would have been cool to have Ray and all the fireflies singing “Going down the bayou”would have been beautiful
Right!!!!
No smartphone, so how do we get a ride spot? About half of Americans don't have smartphones!!
Prey that someone in your family has one, or wait patiently for when they open the stand by line. And no worries, I feel the ride is going to be mediocre. Yeah their digital/app system is a headache. There are some places where you cannot buy food without it, which is an inconvenience.
😬 do you have an iPad?
You can't get a reservation without the app.
You dont have a smartphone in 2024? Thats ur fault lol.
@@jerseyharlotno, it's Disney's fault for mandating a smart phone while in the parks. Im all for being a smart consumer, using apps to save money, buying ahead etc, but even with all that i can live with a basic phone and have a tablet for apps. Needing a phone for a park experience is crappy, disney or otherwise, it just sucks because because some people don't live on their phone.
Ive visited the parks with the paper receipts for fastpass, and you needed that and a watch and you were good. It was just better.
"But what about ride times?" Some parks have times posted at each ride along with maps around the parks with ride times listed as well for each ride. That would be great.
If You pay for a ticket you should have access to all the rides!!!!!
What’s all that of genie +, Lightning lane and virtual queue?
Bring your Kermit costume 🗽then no need to worry😮😅😊 frogs ride for free🎉
If you’re a Disney Passholder you can also ride it early before June 28th!
That was a mistake to get rid of Splash Mountain… but that’s the least of Disney’s mistakes.
Yeah, Still not interested. Disney has gotten to whack and doesn't keep things properly anymore. They just toss it out hoping for the best.
I’m hearing the standby line will open sooner than people think.
I definitely think that will be the case. My prediction is it’ll last until August when school starts, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if it it only is implemented the first week or two.
@@Guide2WDWyeah don't you think disney opened it at that time on purpose to hide all the no interest for that shit ride ...
@@Guide2WDWI am going July 13th, I hope stand by is open by then
@tbgtabias I just left the parks today & trust me, there is a ton of interest in this ride. According to the line going halfway around the park & all the people trying to get in it.
@@agtrots it's a new ride of course but soon it won't be
Watch the Virtual Queue dye in 2 days 😂
(I hope)
I want a log flume to ride over and over and not get rejected by a Queue
The only reason I would ride this ride is because I love the big drop at the end , the best part
Garbage
Wow this opens on my bday!
Listen, I am sorry but imo, Splash Mountain was definitely better, it had more charm, a story, and was a better experience
They kept the splash mountain animatronics I think they should just change it back honestly.
Walt Disney would be so incredibly disappointed with how Disney has been lately.
Thank you for the notice
Ayeeee opens on my bday!!!!
Happy Early Birthday!!!
I never got to ride splash mountain 😭
I went to Magic Kingdom it'd even on my channel
Turn yourself into a frog then you can park hop right into one of the T - boats beforehand of ride even before it opens😮😅😊
Having looked at the ride footage that was released yesterday, the ride looks terrible other than the animatronics
I have a lot of thoughts. Working on a video right now putting them together.
I think it was a wise decision not to make it a paid lightening lane because it’s just a redo of an existing ride that was well loved.
Honestly surprised Disney is going to add a standby queue in the near future.
4 months later and still can’t ride it because it breaks down so much
Do you mean Tiana's Broccoli Adventure?
That is what replaced the mountain of Splash Mountain, right?
Calm down yall virtural queue is free you just need the app which is also free
I thought this would be a good upgrade but the more I see makes me miss splash mountain even more. The tree at the top's gone really. How lame it's based off of IP also.

CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE MY FAMILY
Visiting Disney sounds so complicated these days. I can’t even imagine how confusing it must be for older people.
ANIMATRONICS
YOU CANNOT RIDE THIS RIDE. My daughter wore a Tiana Dress to Magic Kingdom, talked about the ride allllll day - all for nothing. We missed the 7am virtual queue and then at 1pm the virtual queue for the ride shut down as the ride was down for the day. I was so disappointed. Talked to guest services and they said there’s absolutely nothing they can do. Magic Kingdom in 2024 is a joke. Rides are broken and tired. My 6 year old daughter had 20x more fun at Hollywood Studios.
Some of these comments make me so mad ngl 😭 like not to be rude but idk why ppl are so pressed about the situation with genie + I mean sure, fast passes were better but at least we have Disney? Idk what I would do without it lol. Honestly, I’m glad that they’re making changes and adding new rides, because eventually it would get boring if they didn’t add changes. (Again, not to hate!)
The question isn't "how you are able to ride", it's WHY would you want to go on this terrible ride that ruined one of the best rides in the park?
womp womp
Hey that's markiplier's birthday
Based off the comments under the ride POV, this ride is going to flop and therefore we should expect a standby line sometime in July or August by latest.
Can't relate. Disney: Let's make the stupidest ride ever made with stupid music. People are going to love it!😂 What was Disney thinking? Bob Igar thought it was terrible and boring. IEwww I'm so excited! 😂
Wow. Everything you just said makes me never want to go to a Disney park ever again!
You don’t. It’s trash. DEI ruined another perfectly good attraction.
The fact when I was trying to enter Tron, they said “you can’t enter you needed to go on virtual queue at 7 am” that’s stressed me. No stand by queue and virtual queue disappear a 1:00 pm and 30 seconds ?! No wayy thankfully I was able to rode them with the lightning lane.
I am standby at Disney. I went to Disney July 4 with my mom sister and dad and then went to Disney again July 7 but only with my dad.
Too bad Tiana wasn't important enough to get a "new" ride build
As a black man, my family and I absolutely loved 😅Splash MOUNTAIN
Not sure what color has to do with anything.
@@stephanied1028 First of all, you know in this day and age the “Color” of one’s skin matters. Secondly why I change the ride? Answer me back. And there is been trying to appease Woke society.
@@RPJ-nq4tf The ride was 35 years old built in 1989 and based off the 1946 movie Song of the South. Have you seen the original movie? Most kids today have never heard of that movie or the characters in it. It makes sense to update the ride to a movie and character that is more recent and relevant.

I got to ride it yesterday, but unfortunately most of the animatronics were broken. Especially the ones i got on the ride for😭
Walt would be pissed.
The ride is garbage so far doesn't work like it's supposed to and of course it will be different to get a ride pass because it doesn't work half the time. Virtual que is garbage since only a select few can ride.
Splash was way better this is absolutely disgusting and garbage’s
Who cares? I'm not visiting racist Disney Parks
I wish everyone would just boycott and not pay extras for Disney+ or cues and Disney would be forced to drop it
the new ride lowk sucks it not even close to being the same thing to the movie. And who wants to pay js to get on a ride.?😐
Splash mountain was better. L ride
No Thanks.
Let's show disney how disappointed we are with the ride by not going on the ride!!!
Why did they get rid of splash mountain
Ya… I’m going in September… but I’m gonna pass on this… I still never been on frozen ever after as well.
I’ve got the original rides in my head and I truly don’t want to rune them.
Malstrom was good, frozen is a definite improvement though. Tianas looks great too, don't "rune" yourself from new experiences.
Im sure you have been on many rides that are changed from someone elses original memories of them, things change. just like you have memories of those changed rides you are pretty much unaware of, many will have those for Tianas.
With guardians of the galaxi in cali, I don't remember tower of terror there. Guardians mission breakout is a ton of fun, but im sure some aren't over it yet, and that's their loss.
Frozen ever after isn’t that bad, unless of course frozen is to childish.
Bro, it’s already out
Why take out splash mountain WHY
They need a stand by line for Guardians
I actually think this is an improvement not getting on the ride but the ride itself
I am so sorry, but I am done with Disney all they do now is nickel and dime you too death it used to be you could pay $150 for the ticket and ride everything now you have to pay an extra $50 per person that’s crazy
You can ride every single ride at no additional charge. Skipping the line is what costs extra
It’s coming out on Markiplire’s birthday?😭
It opens on my birthday
You showed the disneyland bayou adventure
I showed the preview footage that Disney released.

There will be zero spots for non disabled guests according to stats

guardians has been open for over two years and it still aint got a standby line. they def not adding one for this
Disney specifically said in their blog post announcing this that it will change to a standby line shortly after opening. Now, who knows how they define “short.” So we’ll see.
and the whole inside is done
Is it at Disneyland
D.e.i destruction.....
I hate virtual queue for new rides. It better not happen to test track’s refurb. I have a feeling it probably won’t, though.
Bullshit
I was offered to work here
I think of Tron had a standby I think it would like an hour long wait so I think virtual queue is good but the only differently needs one like how it used is Rise Of The Resistance I mean its like a 3hr long wait usually
How tf is virtual queue good? Lol. You have to snag a reservation if you're lucky, only 1 a day, can't do anything in another area of the park 10 mins before or you could lose your spot, and once you show up you have to wait over an hour in line anyway.
