It looks like a white brick placed in middle of beautiful scenery. 10 years ago someone asked me if the philharmonic is complete, I said "no, the construction site is still walled off..." turns out those walls were the finished building -__-

Lithuanians don't tell visitors Klaipeda was mostly German until 1945. Czechs don't say how their beautiful cities were mostly German-speaking (and thus German built) until the mid 19th century. I don't mean to degrade the Poles. Warsaw, before being destroyed by the Germans in 1945, was an exceedingly beautiful place. So is Krakow. Knowing things like our Statue of Liberty in New York was created in France, that a Frenchman designed our capital city, Washington,DC, that the beautiful missions in California and Arizona were built by Spanish monks, or that the beautiful old parts of New Orleans were built by the French gives me a greater appreciation of how we are all interconnected.
