    I just got one bilge pump from ebay's I have a few question in my mine ok ¿the ski always go down from the back because the carbon ring or the drying plugs right ?
    I Got my bilge pump I noticed if I put water in to the outlet line the water pass true the hull so in my opinion I think is better to put the outlet hose in the front of the ski ??
    No on the back o the side !!!

      Exactly you must be able to see it if it goes off.

    Hi Bill , I just received the 24 Sea Doo Fish PT. I ordered the factory bildge pump, which always runs when the accessory mode is on. I also have a 32 AMP bigger battery coming to help with the battery load. I was wondering what do you think of the draw on the batteries while the damn bildge runs? I have only a few min on the ski this season, not yet broken in. Greetings from Montauk LI NY .

      These factory bulges do no draw like a trolling motor or the radio when the accessory mode is on. My recollection is that the accessory mode will shut OFF if the battery draws down to 11.xx volts, so as to not over-drain things and leave enough to start the ski.. On that factory "always running" bilge. That noise drives many folks crazy especially it they are fishing. Many remove the factory bilge and replace it with float activated bilge pump wired direct to the battery. In this case of being wired direct, if the float activated bilge is running, it draws juice from the battery as long as the bilge is firing. Because of this, the battery can drain completely. That said, it the bilge is draining the battery because it is firing and discharging water for that long , then you got a bigger issue than a dead battery - you are going to be sinking.

    If the water is getting to that level to backflow into your bilge discharge port while on your trailer, start looking for Noah for an autograph. On a side note: buy a Rule bilge pump. It has backflow protection.

      I hear ya. The boat was at a shop sitting in their yard waiting for them to "get around to it" and a big storm cycle came in. Ill checl out the Rule when I change this one out.

    Any way of running the out port on the outside of the jet ski, maybe in the front or sides?

    • @billjenkins1535
      @billjenkins1535  3 года назад +1

      I did finally do this. I ran it thru the hull underneath the front left grey cowling cover... and then made a hole thru that cover itself, with a flexible black pvc tube from the bilge discharge port thru the cover. I did this because the water would slosh all out under the cowling and I wanted a better visualization of an actual water discharge. I may post another video to this.

    My tip of the day….”check valve”😂

      I can see that. I think thatr some of the pumps have a valve in them.

    Hi Bill I order myself the 2022 fish pro do you recommend a bilge pump an a second battery for long hauls?

    • @billjenkins1535
      @billjenkins1535  2 года назад

      I certainly recommend the bilge pump, and porting the discharge to someplace forward where you can see if it is discharging while you ride. On the 2d battery. I do not do any fishing and so I do not have any of those added electrical components like trolling motors like the other people are putting on their skis. That extra battery kit as I understand it mounts to the underside of the engine compartment cover and will make that cover a bit more work to take off when you clean the engine compartment, and also when you want to inspect things, so I will not be adding one. HOWEVER, I do carry one of those small jump start batteries, such as the AntiGravity unit, in case my battery somehow discharges too much.

    Hello Bill. Do you have any issues climbing back on your Fish Pro out on the water? I've seen videos where people climb from behind with the little step, but I wonder how people do it with the cooler and gear back there. Thanks.

    • @billjenkins1535
      @billjenkins1535  2 года назад +1

      Yup it is cumbersome. I clamor over the cooler and havevto rest knees on it as I crawl forward.

    Hey thanks for the video. I am also getting a 2021 Fish Pro. I think I'll be putting a aux bilge pump in after watching your videos. A couple of questions, did you invest in a second battery system? And I'm thinking you carry extra fuel...yes? I will be a "cruising" Seadoo-er, not so much fishing one. I just wanna go out and explore. It's good to see someone going out and putting miles in! Thanks again!

      glad you liked them. I did not put in a 2d battery. I will keep that in mind though. I have heard that people have done that. Yes I do carry xtra fuel. I use Nauta/Imtra flexible tanks nested in the foot wells. Good for you on cruising. The garmin depth finder is extremely valuable- Mine is spot on even at speed.

    Need a check valve to keep the water from coming back in.

    • @billjenkins1535
      @billjenkins1535  3 года назад

      Hey John - Yup.. I have been thinking about that. My conclusion is that since that port is under the gunwale that any water that continues to come in and fills that gunwale will exert water head on that check valve and over an extended period of time backseepage will occur . Like if a carbon seal craters lowering the hull to make things into a sub-doo , or when sitting in the boatyard where they do no bring it inside ( like happened last year as they gave me the run around about time to fix something). Anyway thinkin that the water will seep over a long period of time into the hull and the pump would be cycling and eventually the battery would wear out and full water entry would happen. I am going to be safe and raise the discharge port to be above that gunwale. Ill post another video of the new higher - makes me feel better - port.

      if you are still not convince a check valve will solve your concern then tape over that discharge port.

  • @ktmdays

    Make a rubber plug when storing it use tape
