As a single father of two girls ages 11 and 6 i watch videos like this so i won't have my babies looking crazy in school i can't afford there hair to be done at the moment so i invest in hair supplies and stuff so i can save money and still keep my daughters looking decent.. thank you queen
I believe this is true. I'm definitely 4c and my whole life my hair has been dry, brittle and breaking off. I changed a lot like diet, exercise and I take supplements and a multi vitamin. I think the biggest thing is I use a super moisturizing conditioner as a leave in, jbco and I water my hair with bottled water/conditioner daily like a plant. I can see definition in my kinks for the first time in my whole life. I'm just learning about porosity. It all makes sense.
Thank you, all the people in the comments saying she's not 4c. Ugh! Her density as you said can be different, which is giving her the appearance of 4b hair.
hahaha i really think there should be an extension to these hair types. because every time i watch a video and it says "4c hair type" i always think mine should be named 4D or something.
I had the same problem. My hair has changed. I use a heat protectant as well and a hair serum. Well,my hair serum is my heat protectant. Anyway, you are going to have to test different things out. Heat temperatures on your flat iron, heat protectant or serums that are heat protectants, using a blow dryer, shampoos, conditioners, and leave in conditioners. I do use oil on my hair when I wash it to seal in the leave in I use. I would normally do everything in one day,but my hair has gotten so long,I wash my hair one day,I blow dry it the next day,and flat iron the same day or maybe even take 3 days to do my hair. It depends on your time and schedule. It surely is a process. Now I only flat iron my hair in the winter. When I would flat iron my hair and then when I was in the bathroom or walk outside it was big or a stretched afro. I had to wear it in a puffy ponytail or in a bun.
her hair is 4c. idk why everyone is commenting otherwise...in the beginning of the vid she said that she had a 2 week old twist out. my hair looks like that when i don't touch it for 2 weeks and i'm DEFINATELY a 4c head (exception of the hairs at nape of my neck which is more like 4b texture i will admit)
The obsession is real! Type 4 hair I'd not a monolith! It is literally the most diverse!! And who cares...surely we've got bigger fish to fry in this community!
Its best to blow out your hair first, like she did, then flat iron your hair using the chase method, tight teeth comb with flat iron. Remember to use small sections and let the straightener glide down the hair, don’t just run it down your hair and also don’t let it be too slow. Remember to use the right temperature as well.
that just Means your hair is EXTREMELY THICK! especially if you're type 4c. You Need to stretch out your hair with a blow dryer and a comb attached to it or you can use a regular paddle brush then you Need to section your hair off into At least 6 to 8 sections and split each of those sections and use a flat iron serum to get a sleek smooth look. Followed by the "chase Method" it should come out a whole lot straighter
I’m convinced people just love coming under peoples videos just to comment “this isn’t 4c” 😒. It clearly is 4c. Anyway, great video, girl! Your hair came out beautiful 💛
@@artemis2016 shrinkage does not determine curl pattern..... diameter determines curl pattern. That, and you're percentages don't make sense. Rarely anyones (if anyones) hair shrinks to 90% of its length... that means a person with 12in hair when shrunken would stretch to about 108 inches.... that's completely unrealistic and stupid. 9 feet of hair doesn't shrink up to 1 foot.... even protective princess hair is about 12 inches shrunken, her hair isn't 9 feet long (or 90% shrunken). +honest babe kinky and curly hair are the same thing, the only difference is that hair is called kinky when the the curl is so tight its hard to see its pattern.
+honest babe can I ask a question, do you even have curly hair and no that is not what t I mean, kinky hair is still curly hair, the reason its still called curly hair is because their hair still has spirals but since they' re so tight , curly and thick they are hard to see. yes you can have waves that start to curl and you can consider that curly hair, you need to understand that all hair that curls into a spiral is curly is hair and that includes hair like 4c and 4b, which can be called kinky. if you do not have knowledge on curly hair dont talk about it and make it seem like you know something because you dont or you wouldn't be so ignorant about it and don't t say I don't know what im talking about because I have kinky curly hair that is between 3c and 4a.
+honest babe Also with kinky hair, since its so tight the spirals can turn in more of a zigzag shape. In some places you are right because kinky hair can't be curly hair but curly hair can be kinky hair, but in this case her hair is kinky curly because you can see her hair pattern but still has that zigzag shape.
*Just to educate:* I know most of these comments are old, but you guys have to realise her curls look looser because she had them stretched in small twists, the curls aren’t her actually curls just her hair formed into curls. Her washed state is her natural curl pattern. I think she had low porosity hair (which lengthens when wet), so her curls look a little more defined and because of the length and weight of her hair that’s also another fact. Edit: I hope this helps guys 🤗 Your 4c is gorgeous, constant moisturisation/hydration, defines your curls and will bring out your natural curls eventually.
