      No he won't. He'll have to do half his sentence at the very least. Here's a cut and paste of the Law..."Defendants who receive determinate sentences of over 2 years will be automatically released after serving half of their sentence and the remaining half is served on licence in the community".He won't be eligible for earlier due to the nature of his crime. He'll have to do at least 33 months. Indeed, at 33 months a great deal will be dependent on his Probation report.

    This is a perfect example of how badly made laws can be badly applied to contrive a conviction where no wrongdoing existed. This is how the law works - it's a system that can be used to convict someone for behaving in a certain manner while at the same time acquit another person for the same type of behaviour. If you ever end up in a disagreement with anyone from the BBC, the best course of action would be to go round and give them a right good doin' - you'll get less than if you try to get a resolution by email or other means. I hope that in time, these convictions will be quashed. In time it will be shown that this cannot be considered to be stalking - it's vexatious use of the law and, in time, considerable compensation should be payable to Alex.

    • @jimreynolds2399
      @jimreynolds2399 2 года назад +2

      @@mirifiquebeauty yes, I read them. Almost all exaggerated and reveal the cowardly nature of the complainants. I'm not trying to suggest that Alex's behaviour was exemplary or even entirely reasonable. I just don't believe he crossed the line. If we are going to judge people this harshly then we need all of those complainants back in court on charges of operating a campaign of hate against Alex. This was also documented in court. I suppose the difference was that Alex was giving as good as he got and not making complainants to the police whereas those cowards were all running a campaign of hate but couldn't take some hurt words in response. The judge mentioned Alex 'threatened' some with taking them to court and said they were empty threats. Alex should have taken them to court - he had a case. Their case was funded by the license payer - clear misuse of funds that should go some way with an appeal. If I was Alex, I wouldn't have apologised and it wouldn't be over. They would pay one way or the other.
