TLDR After a bad customer service experience. I no longer recommend this product.
I actually liked this camera I used it for a few months after this review and decided to replace my whole camera system over to these. I purchased five more to go with the one mubview sent me for this review, and some of the cameras I received on my order had a mismatched solar panel. The cable from the solar panel had a micro USB end on it instead of a USB-C so I could not use them with the camera. That basically made this whole setup pointless because it needs power. I sent a message to their support and after a few days of not getting a reply I sent another message and this time it took about 30 hours but I did get a reply, and basically they suggested that I go to the store and buy my own adapter to make it work. What I expected was to return the camera for the proper one or for them to send me a solar panel module that had the correct end on it. Since it's used outside I did not want to use an adapter. It's sad that companies have such poor customer service these days.

It works GREAT! And no monthly fees for it.

Might remind everyone that this camera will not record more than 30 seconds. The event trigger is very slow, so you miss the start of an event and always miss the end with only 30 seconds able to be recorded

To retrieve files, just go to album on the bottom in history. Select the clip and hit download. Do not need to record it

I have 3 outdoor solar cams form Eufy and one for indoor. They all work great, except for one thing. I have NEVER received a notification. I messed with all the settings on my phone but could not make it send me push notifications. Now, as the last option, I found some extra hidden setting on my phone, and will see if that will work, but as it always is the case, since I activated that (3 days ago), there was no motion detection because there was no one around my house (I am some 1600km away in another country right now).
What I like about the Eufy cams, the ones I have, is that they have an integrated solar panel on them, and it seems they have pretty good energy capacity because they never ran out of battery.

This is a pretty good review and I agree with almost everything. Yes, it was long but it was also very thorough. The only thing you didn't discuss was the SD card option (unless I missed it). I am still testing to make sure it's going to work without wifi - works great on wifi but my cabin is off grid and will not have internet access. Also, the alarm is fine for me - maybe because I know it's in the middle of nowhere and will scare people if it goes off on them or at least make them aware they're being recorded. We shall see if I get some good nightlife wild animal recordings just using an SD card! Thanks for taking the time to do the review.

Yeah not going over the SD card more was definitely an oversight. I actually have no idea how the unit operates with no Wi-Fi access I didn't even think to test that. Hopefully I'll learn from this and my next review of a camera will be more thorough. Thanks for watching, and taking the time to point this out.

I thought there was supposed to be a way to make it follow or track like the indoor cameras from mubview

Do you always run a vpn on your phone? Why?

    • @Crazypostman
      @Crazypostman  7 месяцев назад

I do, on my phone and home networks. I like my activities and communications to be as private as possible. No real reason other than that. I realize that requires the VPN provider to not be compromised but it's better than nothing.

I'd rather have a full time recording camera. Can't do that with solar panels.

This is true. There is no continuous recording option but the detection does seem very good I haven't had it miss anything yet. Maybe I should torture test the battery turn the human detection off sensitivity to Max record time and see how long it actually does last. I've had it for a week and it hasn't came off 100% battery yet

Well done review Crazy! I don't know if you mentioned an internal SD card or not but I'm hoping you can record longer than six seconds on that! Lol. :^)

I just clicked on his amazon link to see it. 1. The price is $54.99 and there is a $5 coupon, bringing it down to 49.99.
      2. And their q&a says this: "Both. For local storage you will need to purchase an Micro SD card separately, up to 128GB. We also offer a 7-day looping cloud storage at no additional cost." The cloud storage gives you 6-second clips in SD mode. If you pay $2.99 per month or 29.99 per year, you get up to 30 seconds and it's in HD mode. Also, the clips stick around for 30 days, not 7 days.
      3. Using the MicroSD card you get up to 30 seconds of storage and it's in HD mode, not SD mode. How many days depends on the storage capacity of the card.
For $50 I am going to try it for my new house. Earlier today, if it wasn't for the noise his truck made, I wouldn't have known UPS made a delivery.
