Green pumpkin (watermelon candy is my go to clear water pattern)
Nirvana (junebug/black & blue is a toss up for tanic/muddy waters)
    Very wise information

I like nirvana and I like the green pumpkin black blue laminate some companies offer as well.

I fish mainly clear water, so I don't use too many colors with metalflake. My main colors are usually smoke, avocado and root beer with pepper flake. The brighter colors are too gaudy in most circumstances for me.

There's been some recent research the appears to show that after decades of use and/or overuse, Bass have become *adverse* to Green-Pumpkin colored lures.

Interesting! I’ll have to do some research to read about that. Thanks for the comment !

I don’t know about this “only” 2 colors? Last year a bubble gum and black colors were successful. This year I am seeing so far purple colors working….just at my local heavy fished lake to include my perspective

totally appreciate your perspective here. This video is primarily aimed at folks who may get overwhelmed with the color choices available and helping them ease into the world of soft plastics if they are new or newer to bass fishing. I know there were MANY years that i could barely afford soft plastics, and I wish I knew then what i know now. Is there specific colors that work better on one lake over another, absolutely. Can you catch fish across the country with just two colors? HELL YES. I keep 3-8 colors for each soft plastic in the boat. That said I dont NEED that many colors but I like to be as prepared as possible for any scenario, particularly with tournament fishing.
Thanks For watching! and appreciate the comment!
