- Inking! In this video, I explain my inking process in Clip Studio Paint, which I use to pencil and ink my comic NIGHTSMOKE. I've made my own custom inking brushes that you can download here: gumroad.com/l/scottcspbrushes
You can see the final comic here: www.nightsmokecomic.com/post/1...
What brushes do you like to use to ink in Clip Studio Paint? Let me know in the comments! Хобби
Very cool! When is the color video coming out?
Ah dang! I need to upload that! I'll try to get it out next week. Thanks!
Great stuff, thanks for sharing that. God bless:-)
Awesomee
Cool!! Would be nice to see how you color comics in Clip studio paint :) and.. do you use raster or vector layers for inking?
I don't color in Clip usually, just because I'm so used to Photoshop and its filters and things, but this is usually how I do it: ruclips.net/video/F_Dqy79-wa0/видео.html
Most of the principals are the same, regardless of program, though!
Hey dude. I teach middle school art - and these are great clips to show. So, 1) may I have permission to show your work in a public school setting? 2) Would you consider creating a basic overview of comic book making video? Like really basics - coming up with idea, initial sketches and planning, first five pages production. Or can you direct me to one you have already made?
First of all, thanks so much! You absolutely can show this to your students.
I have a couple videos that might detail what you're asking about. This one is a timelapse of me doing a whole page from start to finish: ruclips.net/video/3I95eYfZPuw/видео.html. I give a little overview at the beginning and then you can see the whole process.
I also have this one, which is a really in-depth tutorial on how to set up comic book pages in InDesign for print production: ruclips.net/video/gETRi346Nmk/видео.html That might be a little much for middle schoolers (I'm not sure how many have access to InDesign), but it's the standard for professional book makers, so that could be of interest to students.
I love the idea of doing a Comic Book Basics video. I think that would be a super helpful resource for people, so I'll add that to my "video ideas" list. :)
what program do you use to record the screen?
I'm on a Mac, so I just use Quicktime Player. I think you just go to File > New Screen Recording or something like that once it's open.
@@ScottD thanks
but can we make it on photoshop also
Photoshop is also a great tool! I use it a ton, and made comics in it for years before I tried out Manga Studio 4 back in the day. haha :)
@@ScottD i'm an artist too but i struggle with inkin because it's so difficult
