I'm new to the idea of lawn tractor motor sports and think it looks like fun. I'm glad to find out about you guys here in Maine and I'm looking forward to meeting you at an event sometime.
I like Doc Locker's ida about the best (aside from using a grinder with a cut-offwheel, I can get a hub machined for about $50). I say this because I have never had much luck welding sintered iron stick, mig or heliarc (yeah, I'm "that"old, GTAW to you younginz🙃) Lots of great ideas & content. I for one, appreciate your efforts
see i never learned any of this stuff from the internet about double springs, or pulleys, or cast iron front ends, or the different transmissions and engines that are good or bad. i learned from 2 14 year old kids i'd buy parts from for the lawnmowers i was flipping. i got into mud mowing with all the spare crap i had laying around. i built one heavy MTD, now im starting to build an lt2000 so i can leave the mtd at home.
Great video Neil. I'm putting research into possibly making money to supplement my business income via vlogging, how to, etc.(I watch alot of videos and in no way want to copy or repeat anything that is out there) My first mud mower was a 1967 Sears back in the mid 90s. Still got it and hoping to build it up into an impressive rig. No hate here man! I know this is an older video but it definitely helps me feel out the community and see who NOT to associate with. Hoping my channel does well in the future. Hoping I find myself in something unique and not spend a whole lot of peoples time blabbing about uninteresting topics. Loved the other stuff you got on here too. Thank you also to the great year with Thunder Valley!
The big take away from this video. The Mud mower community is a very close knit group when it comes to the realist. Many before me made similar videos to this one. But I was the only one with a fan base big enough to make a difference. My advice join the ATLTF.com and start posting and reading. Join the groups on FB and sit back and watch to see what the trending machines for builds are and see what you think you can do. Last but not least work to make relevant How To videos. Those are what get you a viewership base and gain solid subscribers.
