Hey thanks for this channel, you just gave a 69 year old gear head a new hobby. Iv been playing around with a rokon for the past 6 years rebuildt the gear boxes once cause o where and tear.i can get in and out o tight spots pretty often, but these rock mowers look like a nouther level o fun😂 happy trails
Moved from Alberta to Australia about a month ago, wanting to have cheap unique fun offroad at a leisurely pace. Didn't think I'd get hoofed in the nuts so hard with the homesickness like listening to a Berta boy talk about offroading in the mountains while sitting outside in winter wearing plaid and a Guinness toque.
Just barely have been getting into these beautiful machines. I was lucky enough to get my hands on multiple different garden tractors already and I think I'm going to make the 8-speed wheel horse my off road machine! indestructible machines.
I recently picked up a Sears gt16 myself with a locked up opposed 16 horse. I have two spare 18hp opposed I'm going to Swap one on. So glad I found this channel because I wanted to make an off road rig with mine and now I have a pretty much full built model to follow 😂
I love it! Nothing more true than just picking one up take it out it breaks you take it back home fix it beef it, and repeat and then you have a solid unit eventually lol 😂
Great channel for sure. Keep it up. Hopefully I'll get started on mine soon. I have 12 acres down here in Tennessee that I live and work on . Totally off grid and ready to play. 👍
Halfway through this video i paused and went and ordered another welder, now i am back to continue the video lol u inspiring lil b|$!$😂 love the content bro its so good to see the custom mower scene grow its such a niche thing to get into but you guys have it going large !! Love it, i have been messing around with these for 12 or so years now off and on 🚜👌 cheers from 🇨🇦 eh
Im starting over after my old craftsman lt broke the front end what is the best belt setup it had a bottom shaft engine to a side shaft diff worked great but Is there something else that's a good choice
For my first mower I built a 20 horse craftsman gt with a 633a that goes 30 mph but I felt like I wanted to start crawling after I came across your channel and recently bought a 25hp gt5000 again with a 633a i don't really like the bodies but it's the least concerning bit it
I would love to do this I'm not great at this kinda stuff and I'm gonna go through and watch every video you guys have and comment and stuff to get that engagement up! Sense I Gabe no idea where to start if you guys did like you said in the video like a full step by step that would be amazing! Love your content
I just got a John Deere 214 garden tractor with a Peerless 2300. You mentioned you run a 2300. Also, what size pulley do you run on the engine and transmission?
What size is Musty's rear tires you said 25 for the height and 12x4 for the wheel but what's the width of the tire? 25x?? - 12. Love the vids, been watching for years.
They are 25x8r12 But I squeeze them onto trailer rims that are 4” wide to narrow the tires! Works well With the trailer tires you don’t get much for offset Like factory 12” tractor rims So I run a 2” -5x4.5” wheel spacer
The best mowers to use for a mud mower offroad romping Tractor build HANDS DOWN is the 2001 to 2005 Electrolux (ayp) manufactured Floor Pan tractors (Craftsman LT1000, LT2000, DLT2000, DLT3000, DYT4000, Poulan Pro/Poulan LT, Ryobi LT & Husqvarna LT YT) and 2006 to 2017 Husqvarna manufactured Floor Pan tractors (Craftsman LT1000, LT2000, LT3000, Poulan LT & Ariens LT).. Wheel horse is a great choice!
We sure do wish there were more of them out here in bc Canada
Oh I don't need another hobby but that thing looks amazing.
Just got an old Chalmers and since a hard time finding attachments this is its new path
At what point do you say, “damn I should have just bought an ATV”? I’m just kidding. Awesome build. You guys are so innovative

I love it! Nothing more true than just picking one up take it out it breaks you take it back home fix it beef it, and repeat and then you have a solid unit eventually lol 😂
Great information! Thank you! Although mine is not a Sears, this applies to my Wheelhorse too. I have gathered a lot of information for my build.

I’ve started to build a kubota g1700 off road, it’s got a 3 pot diesel engine can’t beat it
Yes I do hope I get the chance to swap one of those motors into a built mower!
One day….. one day
Da fuq? Offroad mower!? Bad ass.
Yess. Love your guys videos

Other than the sears you have, What brands and years of mowers do you recommend trying to find to build a couple of these??
Is it possible to do chain and sprocket swap?
Great video and info!💪

I think I'm going to try this with my 81 Roper 16t
You got a link to those headlights? Just picked up a ‘78 Murray
I found an Allis Chalmers 912 for sale pretty cheap near me? Is that a decent candidate? It's the geared version too
Nice!
Would love to see videos of you making the throttle/gas system … I’d love to know how you did that
Actually we made a video going over how to install a foot throttle
Just scroll through our videos!

How mutch better is it to put brake on transmission stub vs. Axle shaft
Hey how did you get the vertical shaft motor to work with the horizontal shaft transmission
Check out the build series videos on musty the mower
I used a 90° bevel gear box
I just got a John Deere 214 garden tractor with a Peerless 2300. You mentioned you run a 2300. Also, what size pulley do you run on the engine and transmission?
7” front 5” rear
What would it take to get a gravely 1238 off-road ready?
I’ve got a couple Allis B-110. Probably not the strongest setup though
What size is Musty's rear tires you said 25 for the height and 12x4 for the wheel but what's the width of the tire? 25x?? - 12. Love the vids, been watching for years.

Sweet, thanks. Keep mowing.
Why not use hydrostatic transaxle?
What would be a good manual transaxle to swap into a mower?
Peerless 820 is always a great option
Depends on your build though
Whats the name of video that you show the steering you built for this mower
It’s in the musty build series early on! Scroll through our vids you will find it
@@okoffroadmowers will do. Thanks

If I were the build one I would do an old wheel horse or an old craftsman with the eight cast-iron gearbox preferably rather than aluminum one
The Old Lady is gonna be pissed
Do another mower build or off road trailer build please.
What mower is that?
1981 sears gt 16
