VIN is something like 1FABP46F5EH123456 on this Thunderheap, I mean Thunderbird. 1 for US made, FA for Ford Passenger car, B for manual restraints, P46 for Thunderbird, F for 302 V8 engine with TBI (so I believe it was retrofitted back with a carburetor), 5 is a hypothetical check digit, E for the 1984 model year, H for Lorain, OH assembly (they were also made at the Hapeville, GA plant which closed around 2006) and the rest is the production sequence. Yes, those Ford decals of that era get hard to read when they start to lift like that and get moisture behind them.
My pops use to have a red 86 Thunderbird ,but it was a absolute turd ,I use to call it the "ThunderTurd" it was a POS 6 cylinder & not a 8 ,it had so many problems & was at the Ford Stealership more than my place ,my pops gave it to me ,its engine died at 48,000 even though well maintained, the stupid Ford dealer even bent the hood when a tech accidentally closed the hood with the engine jacked up ,then after they replaced the engine with a rebuilt engine, the stupid dealer backed it up into a light post & the light fell on the car & crushed the trunk ,smashed the rear window & roof ,I took that shit out of there & gave them 6K Bill & wouldn't let there shop fix it ,& got all the parts from my friends scrapyard for basically nothing,& fixed it myself ,used it for 2 more years ,then it started giving me so much trouble it took it back to my friends pops scrapyard & literally crushed it myself in his EZ Crusher after they took off some parts that they wanted ,I couldn't stand that car anymore.....she was a bad one !
jeeez this is one clean engine i must say! and i wish, wen my own ford engine was so clean like this, even my ford are from 2004. But still i am looking for new engine for my car, engine what i have now are not working so well, because one of fule injector don`t work as needed (what injects fule in the cylinder - sorry i don`t know how this part calls in english) some times it works good but some times it gives on cylinder to small dose or to much, and restore cost about 150 euros one and if i want to do this i must restore all of them, and this means 4x150=600 euros (i don`t know how much this is dollars to) thanks to this i loking for new engine but i can`t find it.

Hotrod Thunder 🐔 right there
Wow! Someone will have a field day with some of those parts. Those thunderchickens were popular back in the day. Thanks for the walkaround!
That's the nos switch. Lol
5.0 headers look like decent quality along with the ignition components.
Hedman headers
Would make a fun car to do donuts with in the yard if the trans isn't damaged.
Fox body same as the mustang.
It's even got that ford quality vin tag with water 😂😝
