The Gentleman that you are getting the parts form sounds Great and very helpful, it seams a shame that the world is going the other way in that they turn their backs on helping others
This was one of the most satisfying car restoration videos I’ve ever seen. The transformation is stunning, and your expertise is evident in every frame. Bravo!
Hello from England. Thats a real nice yard. Lots of history there. I think you should do an interview with Ken and document what started this obsession. And looking over your shoulder is that a ford themes van with windows cut or is it a squire. Hard to tell on the shots. They would both be hard to find over here. It’s great you can do this for chip. Take care best wishes.
I love the attention to detail with the older rides. Everything was made of some type of metal from bumper to bumper and bolted on. Now everything's plastic and glued together when paying 5 or 10 times the amount for the newer junk. Look how strong vehicle's were built, nowadays if you lean on a newer car you'll cause hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage by just leaning against em lol..
For a time when I was about 12 years old, Dad had a ‘55 (I think) Windsor2-door the same color as the one you were measuring. According to a color chart I found, the color name was Light Taffy. I liked it - it was comfortable somehow, in my memory. It’s one of the cars I would have put up on blocks for the future (don’t we all wish we had that foresight?), but like Elton John said, “…but I was just a kid.” Before this time he had a ‘56 DeSoto in 2-tone green.
If you come to Sauk Centre MN my dad has a bunch of 55/56 desoto parts, including a factory airtemp ac compressor, and headlight bezels.

My Dad bought a brand new 56' Dodge wagon when he was living in Los Angeles and he brought it back to Canada used it until 1965 and then bought a 1965 Dodge polara wagon, he used it until 1973 when he bought a new Dodge Coronet crestwood wagon with a 383 four barrel and it layed rubber all day long......😊
I never had a Chrysler "Letter " car, but i had a 70 C/10 Suburban...Sun roof, stereo and a Cadillac Leather Front seat... it was a cruiser!! Lots of fun miles !
Another incredible video 😄Thank you.I could watch videos like that for hours.Your all good people & what a character he is.LOL Hippe Dave quote ''what the fuck is that suppose to mean''' LMAO 🤣🤣Enjoy your summer.
Power Flight was the common trans in 55 and part of 56. Torque Flight took over in 56. The headlight rings shouldn't be any different to dismount than 55 300s. Did them many times. Do these have the thin ring covering the lamp mount? Grab them if so
The sad part of this story is Stellantis, more specifically Carlos Tavares (King of the Frogs) is destroying Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM, and the latest rumor is Chrysler is on the Chopping Block. This half-wit needs to go, one way or another.
Check out this channel as your going to find some information and a person I do believe you might already know. His present build is a two door hardtop 56 chrysler which is unique in the particular model being built was not offered by chrysler in this model. Everything else but .... his body he is using was a four door hardtop that has been a real real hard save and yet when done, Its SEMA for sure. I believe he has gone there with other builds. Channel name is INVision Prototypes, his name is Nick and I believe his dads name is Rick. They neither one are kids and since I will be sharing this with Nick... he always answers all of his comments which I consider quite respectful. I really am asking hard for this as its how things work for the best to get known for their talents. Ya, I am a old guy who probably bores you by this kind of comment, but at seventy four and a subscriber of your channel hope you do consider at least looking at his project so far. Great playlists on any of his builds that are out of this world. Thank you for your time to read my comment and hopefully have not offended you
@@killerkustoms I really appreciate that.... I usually send him e-mails when I get someone to see what a great person he is in his video instructions as well.... very friendly.

You used to be able to buy small slot type screwdriver’s with spring lips which gripped the screw head to get it started.

I am digging those headlight rim and fender spears. Im a purest but this car has some nice pieces
I'd like the steering wheel off the vagon. Man that's cool.
The pink car was called a La Femme or something similar and had special interior geared to women buyers. Pretty rare car I would think.

Cars have way more style back in those days
I didn't know Father Christmas really exists...lol...I just discovered this channel....great content
I think if you take two emblems that make a complete one, I’m sure they can be welded
Correction You Have A 1955 Desoto = A 6 Volts Elect. System , The Other One A 1956 DeSoto = A " 12" Volts Elect. System (3 Tail Lights ) Car
