The keyboard flourishes in this version are just amazing, just like in the original demo. Wish it would have been kept in the album version. Maybe they heard it and felt it just didn't work, same for the bass which was compressed in lower but still worked. It may have overpowered the rest of the tracks as it was. Their song, their album.....still one of my fav SM songs ever.
It is so Trajic Forbes left shortly after this.....if he and McNiell had have stayed and They really stretched themselves they could have been allot bigger than their peak in popularity worldwide which was possibly just after live AID or at time of Breakfast club film I assume....They were better than U2 back then in my opinion
very well said Maurice Maguire about forbes and mcneil ,,they were better than u2 then after sm played live aid with that poor bass player they slowly went downhill...since 85 they have only been a duo really of jim and his buddy charlie
Wow this is such a cool version of Speed Your Love!!!! 🤯👑🔥♥️✨
Intro to UTC, Jim says "Alive and Kicking"!
Great version 👌🏻
Peak Simple Minds. Best live band in the world at that point.
YES, Simple Minds in there prime !! It went all down from here,..but this.....'pennies from heaven '

Maravilloso
Charlie knocks it out the park here
