the match cut in 1:30 continues as the car swims by it look like the one where brody is watching the swimmers in the ocean but the people are walking in front of the camera
I take it as meaning that her bedroom is small, hard to maneuver through, and in a real location, not a set with breakaway walls. So by adding something of interest like the horror movie with lots of action, a small camera move can seem much larger.
I remember watching this film before I even knew what the word cinematography meant, thinking there's something artificial here. At a couple of points in the film, the stylization broke my immersion by making me aware I was watching a film and blunted the suspense for me. I never felt that way watching any of his other films which use stylish camera work. Just this one.
@@edub9930 Just off the top of my head, DeNiro's haircut, and sleazy sex appeal. Kissing the lawyer's daughter at high school, vs grabbing Rachel at Wayne's fundraiser. Joker and DeNiro beating someone with a pipe. The finale of both films is a group Russian roulette, with burnt-faced villain. It was clearly a reference for Ledger and Nolan.
Cape Fear's introduction of Max is beyond epic
This movie is my favorite Scorcese. Everyone on board, the cast, the editor, the screenwriter, they're all bringing their A-game.
Max combing after his car ride is the most chilling scene
Excellent video, beautifully observed and paced. Lovely job!
Wow, great stuff!!
3:56 OTS of course meaning Over the shoulder. I already know POV stands for Point of view.
Great work
Awsome bro expect more like this
Excellent work
well made bro
hey, please reupload the video about elly blocking technique. Please
Scorsese basically wrote a manual for a modern thriller here.
This is great!

terrific!
What do you mean by that last line, "confinement of space can be overcome by modification..."

magnificent Martin Scorsese and Freddie Francis
Thanks homie!
Good movie

6:36 Didn't know that DeNiro voiced Mr. Mackey from South Park by hanging upside down...mmmkay..
You skipped the scene where Cady gets hit with the chain

I think the menacing soundtrack was a bit overdone & felt a bit rushed. But useful 'make u jump' scenes, tho a bit overused as well imo
1:53 Роберт Де Ниро сидит на заборе. Чижата, привет )))
The Dark Knight ripped a lot from Cape Fear.
Joker hanging upside down comes to mind. Any others?
