Thank you for this. Nobody teaches editing like you do. Felt like attending a masterclass.
Thank you!
Watched the whole thing. Excellent video. I'm just starting off my journey into the entertainment industry and I want to write scripts. I think this is a great piece of advice to see it from the cinematography point of view. Thank you!
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you! Just finished watching Whos that knocking on my door. His techniques are so fluid you don't tend to notice them. So thank you for highlighting them so we can learn from the Masters!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
4:54 Ever since I first saw it on the initial Starz premiere, I assumed that pause was some kind of film glitch. But your explanation makes a lot more sense. It might be the only freeze frame in the movie, and Scorsese always uses those to emphasize what's happening and highlight important events. In this case, the spark of his motivation. Thanks for the analysis.
The editing of goodfellas and wolf of Wall Street seems extremely similar plus the narration it’s just great it’s what makes the movie so damn good and entertaining
Keep coming back to this again and again. Thank you for putting this together and sharing your knowledge brother.
Glad you enjoyed it/found it useful and thank you for the great feedback!

I don't understand one thing about editing, Editor is someone who does the editing using computer, right?
But it's the screenwriter or director that want a certain type of frame or peice of film to come out as output, isn't it?
Or is the editor also involved in deciding how the scene should look like??
blessings!
