"If our leaders won't do the right thing we have to do the right thing." She's correct. We cannot depend on elected officials. It's time for us to step up.

Braiding Sweetgrass is a brilliant book. Every chapter leaves you feeling like you know what it's like to be loved unconditionally.

    Beautiful. Thank you
“What does Earth need from us” vs “how do we fix this?” - reframes everything.

Dr. Kimmerer is an incredible speaker and botanist. Her students are very fortunate to have such a bright and holistic mind helping them grow.

I appreciate so much how Robin take us into a loving reciprocal mindset which is what is needed to understand our relationship with Mother Earth, the 2 leggeds, the 4 leggeds, the tree people, the winged ones, and the soft and beautiful mosses. Without this understanding we are left with despair and frustration. Robin gives me hope. And we all make a difference. Respect is the key. I have learned so much from indigenous scientists.....

As the tears well up in her eyes, I feel I can see the future reflecting in them. A woman's tears hold powerful seeds.
    Thank you for sharing.

She has so many powerful and empowering words! "despair is a way of accepting powerlessness". See ourselves as brothers [and sisters] of creation instead of masters of creation. Watch this and share with your friends and other human people.

“Whatever happens in your life, no matter how troubling things might seem, do not enter the neighborhood of despair. Even when all doors remain closed, God will open up a new path only for you. Be thankful!”

I think Simone Weil begs to differ. I think she’d say that its through despair that you can find grace.

@14:45 'This set of engraved errors that we are engaged in, I think, is transitory - it has to be. If anything, if we really were in the age of the anthropocene, the age of the viruses would fix that in a hurry.' ( *coronavirus enters the chat*)
