I want to highlight so I can return to this: 27:04 "to really try to cultivate what I think of as ecological compassion for the personhood of other beings." Ecological Compassion in particular.
Can't wait for the book! I'll get my hands dirty getting to know some plant beings in the meantime

"who do we think of as people/human?.... indigenous wisdom carries the personhood of all beings... a river, a mountain, a tree has a right to be, a river has a right to be whole and healthy and to exist and regenerate without our interfering with it."
[yes. and hah! we don't even treat those legally assigned "personhood" as sacred reciprocally interconnected be-ings.]
(around 19 minutes) "the rights of nature movement fundamentally challenges the paradigm of human exceptionalism, that we get to own other beings and we get to decide their fate, and ultimately exploit them."
