- In this video I am explaining how the Fligh Path Vector is modelled and what it is used for when flying the FLSabs A320.
Tips and Instructions are only to be used for the Flight Simulator on your PC! It should go without saying that I am only flying a PC Simulator, not a real aircraft. My videos therefore are not intended as professional instruction! And my videos do not show SOP ( Standard Operating Procedure) of any distinct airline.
Please leave a thumbs up if you liked the video. Cheers!

Excellent tutorial blackbox! This has helped me a lot!
Accumulating knowledge of this aircraft is what it's all about for me at this moment and you deliver the goods, BB.
Thank you, once again! Double thumbs up from me.
+nsw72 .. Thank you very much. My pleasure as well 👍🏼
I know im asking randomly but does anybody know of a way to log back into an Instagram account??
I somehow forgot the account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Kylo Kingsley instablaster :)
@Roberto Kai Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Roberto Kai it worked and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my ass :D
Thank you! Excellent video!!
A deluxe tutorial! Thank you so much for the explanation.
TRK/FPA is the most mystifying flight guidance and depiction system I’ve ever used. Four years on the A320 series aircraft, and I still have trouble remembering what it’s telling me. But your video helps.
Excellent tutorial. Thank you.
Just incredible tutorial keep up that awesome work! I love your videos as much as I love airbus...A LOT!!❤✈👨✈️
Thank you very much for the kind feedback 👍🏼
I appreciate the logic of the "bird" selection which clear the FD. That's important to not follow the wrong guidance.
Your tutorial is very clear and your explanation of the relationship between the pitch and the flight patch is excellent.
I have a comment about the lack of flight patch vector appearance when the FD bars disappear. That was a situation when you lose the normal law and switch to alternate law. You only remains on the attitude indicator and the AOA is not readable although it is very important.
I think that it should be useful to have the bird in order to assess the AOA and the real path of the aircraft. I think it should have been useful in some accidents like AF447 or Air Asia QZ8501. By this mean, the pilot should have noticed the bird at the bottom of the display. But I find the bird too small and not particularly easy to see on the PFD. It is easier to use on HUD.
Thanks again for your video. Very interesting.
Very nice explanation,thank you
Dude your videos are very very helpfull for me !! Thank you very much for these !
Hi. That is great to hear. And that is why I am making these videos. Happy Landings
Thanks ! you too captain :)
thank you for explaining the fpv, Iunderstand now ,thank u
Amazing video!
Besten Dank für dein tolles Video mit dem FSL. Der FPV war immer eine Blackbox - bis jetzt :)
+Till Waltisberg .. freut mich zu hören, dass ich helfen konnte 👍🏼
Very informative,thank you
thank you very much. really helpful and i understood it perfectly. cheers..
Thank you very much for the feedback 👍🏼
Thank you for the great info. Much appreciated.
Excellent presentation….
Thank you very much
Hi Blackbox, sorry about the simplicity of this question, but isn't the pitch rotated by the lateral axis of an aircraft and the longitudinal axis associated with the roll? Regards...
Amazing
Great video! Any chance of a video doing a visual approach into Runway 34 of Haneda airport? It's somewhat of a challenge :)
+ernest_xwb .. I do like challenges 😊 So I will have a look
Hey Blackbox :) first thx for your Vids, but just one question...what software do you use for the cloud textures? The weather engine I see is AS, but what do you use for clouds?
At that time I was using Active Sky Cloud Art. Now I am using Skyforce 3D.
Blackbox, great video. Loved it. Can you tell me how to find the MDA info please? BB712
Hi. You will find that on the Approach Chart. Altitude values are normally in bold letters while height values are in brackets.
@@Blackbox711 Thank you so much. ;)
I would love to see you do some non precision approaches in the airbus ...you sir are excellent and i do not compliment people that often...
+Nick Fallon .. thank you for your kind words. I have already published some NPA videos here. Please look through the list in FSLabs A320 Basics. Happy Landings
Sorry...yes i saw that...my apologies...
Hi. Could you do a video on the 777 FD logic, especially in the event of a Go Around. I believe in the Asians incident at KSFO the FD's played apart with one pilot having there's on and the other switched off. Thanks

Good video! Have you 2 versions of P3D installed on you PC? Because sometimes you run B737 NGX in P3d v4, now you are may be on P3d v3 because, FSL A320 not yet released!
I'm looking for to install v3 and v4 in my PC, but i don't know if it's possible?
+Arezki Ferkal .. yes. V3 and V4
So the two green “Equal Signs” depicted at the bottom of the brown region on the PFD, what are they telling me during the approach?
pitch protection, which is -15deg down and 30deg up
Hi Blackbox, any word on when the FS Labs A320 will be released for P3D v4?
Also, not bad for a Bus driver !
No news yet I am afraid.
Awesome... what clouds are you using?
+Enrique Campos .. Active Sky and Active Sky Cloud Arts (ASCA)
Hello @blackbox711 which p3d license do u have the academic or the professional im planning to change from fsx to p3d dunno which one shall i get thanks in advance
Just get the Academic version - even though strictly speaking a hobbyist is supposed to get the Pro version LM do not care so get any version you want.
+Faisal Zaatarah .. since I streaming I have bought the professional version. I personally can't give you advice here which version is best for you. For that please read the official licensing rules.
Von welchem Entwickler ist der Flughafen auf dem du da gelandet bist?
What‘s the sign of the cabin Crew before T.O. , which Shows you, that Cabin is ready? I guess there is no call via. Interphone right? But what‘s the sign?
+CATZPA .. you get a memo mesage on the ECAM saying CABIN RDY
Blackbox711 Thanks a lot! Your Videos Are lovely
+CATZPA ... Thank you very much 👍🏼
So what's the difference between the FD and the FPD, i.e. when you leave the FD on with TRK FPA mode?
+Gaetaco Winnercastro .. when you leave the FPD on you need to enter all values (Heading/Track, Vertical Profile) into the FCU or otherwise the FPD will show wrong values. When flying manually you would have to continuously take your view of instruments and dial in the new values into the FCU. So for me there is no point in doing that. Also a pilot should be capable of flying even without FD/FPD. Regards
Oh, don't get me wrong, I agree with you. I was just wondering why would Airbus include such a feature. :)
+Gaetaco Winnercastro .. no worries. The FPD does make sense when flying with an Autopilot. But once in manual flight in the sim, I woud personally only use the bird. Regards
VG
hello automatic decend how do you do it ? 11:50
Hi. That was not automatic. I selected the FPA and then pulled on the VS knob.
is that the fsdt zurich kolten
Yes
I didn't even know FPV existed XD
👍🏼
No need for FDs off!
Why?
@@Blackbox711 , because you you'll still get the bird with FDs on. Which in that case is call FPD - Flight Path Director. A bird with flight directors.
Bruno Silva Bruno Silva ... the reason why I asked why is because your statement implied that it is not allowed to switch off FD. The FPV can be seen more clearly without the FP director bars. The purpose of the video was to demonstrate the meaning of the FPV.
@@Blackbox711 , my statement in no way implies that it is not allowed to switch off the FDs. It is meant to imply that you can use the bird regardless of the FDs status. Your demonstration however, implies that FDs off are a requirement to use the bird. It wouldn't if you had said just that on the video. That for better appreciation of the bird you were switching the FDs off.
Could you also please do some Videos in German. I am a very good English Speaker but sometimes it is easier to understand the Things in your Motherlanguage. Would really appreciate that. But as usual, very good Video
+Christian Schraa ... I wish I had the spare time to do that.
