Growing up in NYC the Dominicans there will tell you they aren’t black they’re Dominican , and sometime if they wanna be nasty they’ll throw a racial slur but anyways .. a lot of the Puerto Ricans will say they are black before anything .
Im puerto rican cuban and black and growing up my mother taught me that puerto rican is black. But i would often be confused on how to identify racially, hispanic/latino or black. My father who is a black man always told me to identify as black because its about my race not my ethnicity. The reason for killing Haitians was due to DR ceding Haiti 6200 Square Kilometers of territory in 1936. By 1937 Trujillo had made a decree for Haitians to leave DR which they refused to do and on the contrary tried to migrate deeper into DR. Trujillo did what he had to do to protect our Sovereignty

The reason for killing Haitians was due to DR ceding Haiti 6200 Square Kilometers of territory in 1936. By 1937 Trujillo had made a decree for Haitians to leave DR which they refused to do and on the contrary tried to migrate deeper into DR. Trujillo did what he had to do to protect our Sovereignty
