If you ever get a chance can you do a comparison between the the original ISK BM800 vs the best studio mics that you have? The BM800 made by ISK is a bit more expensive but completely different than the BM800 knockoffs made by other companies. I'd love to see it up against the commonly talked about snowball, the yeti, and the Audio Technica AT2020.
For the Samson mic i would recommend having it as close to your mouth as possible. Obviously not too close. Any kind of pop filter would also help when having it so close.
I paid about 45 bucks for a used (but in great condition) Samson C01U Pro USB mic - superb quality for the price. Go for it if you're not afraid of used equipment, but make sure not to stumble upon a dodgy seller. It has a cardioid pattern, so it works best if you speak to it directly, but proper reverb reduction and acoustic isolation gives you the best results. Plus, the built-in headphone jack allows for real-time audio monitoring without confusing latency. You can also configure it as an audio output which is a huge plus. USB connection is straightforward as always, providing digital signal without any distortions. You can still get other hardware (preamps, mixers, interfaces etc) that supports USB input, although chances are you've got it all integrated in your sound card anyway.
This is my first pc build. I don't know how good this is. is this overkill xD? Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler Asus Z170-AR ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Asus GeForce GTX 1080 8GB STRIX Video Card NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Hey there, I was going to use the 800$ version of the 1300$ build you did a while back. I don't know if that build also needs a Phanteks cooler(wasn't in description). Kinda new to this stuff, thanks!
What do you think about the SAMSON GO Mic? Isn't that good enough for Beginner RUclipsrs like me? I wanna do voice overs for my upcoming tutorial videos. Isn't that a good choice?
Hey Ed not gonna question you comparison but in my opinion the cad zoe sounded the best tbh a little low as far as volume goes but its definitely a close 2nd to the u37
Tech Genius in spain they all cost more than 40€, but the Meteorite is now at a 26€ sale xd!! but that is the worst looking microphone .-. I don't know if it could be a good option ...
I Plan on buying two mics soon, one for gaming, and one for music. If i get the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, will I be able to plugged in both mics and switch between which mic I plan on using without having to unplug the other just to use the interface? Thanks
Hey Ed, I have a question. I just bought the 6600K and the X31 Kraken CPU cooler. Is this cooler safe (could it leak?) and sufficient (good enough cooler for possible overclocking) for the 6600K? Thanks again.
Ed will you please do a Top 5 Headsets. Litterally There have been none since Starts of 2016 and the some that are are from youtubers i cant trust. PLEASE consider doing that some day. Thanks,
Im looking into starting im rapping, would you recommend me getting a audio interface?, or if I get the best mic on this list will it sound crisp enough?
The qibox bm 800 seems like the best one to pick if your starting youtube but want these fancy stuff (pop filer, mic holder, etc). later down the line, you should either get an ai first or get a blue snowball or other really good mic, or even stick with it until you get a really good mic
I think the best microphone to start youtube with is the samson meteor, not meteorite, the meteor. It is just a little bit more expensive than this ones but it is way better. Also it is useless to get the bm 800 to save money and then buy a 100$ AI, it would be better to get a 48v phantom power supply for it instead but still, I think the samson meteor is the best one
Wow,i like you(not gay) i like the style that you are doing it you are getting in the video so fast you are not talking to much like others youtubers just to have more minutes in the video and to put ads just for money,NICE CONTINUE LIKE THAT
Honestly, the Samson Go mic sounds considerably better than all of these and it's only $40. I've had mine for almost three years now and it's still just as great as when I first got it. It even has zero latency monitoring, a feature that is extremely difficult to find in this price range.
The app "Wish" actually has a $42 USD package, with a decent condenser mic, with a built in XLR cable and a basic audio interface, popfilter, shock mount, and desk-mounted boom arm all included. Pretty awesome deal.
Alex Hastie I think you'll like Professional Condenser Microphone & AK-35 Suspension Boom Scissor Arm Stand with Built-in XLR Cable and Mounting Clamp & AK-3 Pop Filter & 48V Phantom Power Supply with Adapter Kit. Add it to your wishlist! geek.wish.com/c/5795d6d2ab406237fa565414
i have the snowball ice and you might have to connect it to a usb 3.0 port and if you use VoiceMeeter then it can make it sound like a studio mic, look up how to use VoiceMeeter with snowball mic and it is easy fast and simple

I remember using the Samson meteorite mic for about a year and a half. Super good sound for a cheap price. Definitely deserves a spot on this list

I wish you'd compare Snowball with U37
Eeshaan Achar Pretty sure Snowball would win. CAD U37 sucks.
This is my first pc build. I don't know how good this is. is this overkill xD?

Just wanted to let you know, I bought the CAD u37 as a back up. And it is just fine, tripod is surprisingly useful.
Guy's... IT'S FINALLY HERE!
Train Lover the train?
I like trains
*BRUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM*
I liked the cad u1 the most. all you have to do is use audacity to remove the background noise
I have a budget of about 150-200 dollars is better to get a headset or a mic and headphones?
this channel is just to good!!!!
Ed which would you choose between the Blue snowball Ice an the Cad U37?
Hey Ed not gonna question you comparison but in my opinion the cad zoe sounded the best tbh a little low as far as volume goes but its definitely a close 2nd to the u37
You forgot the Blue Snoball. I got mine for like $40 at a mall a few months ago. Works well.
He did that one in the last top 5 mics under 50$ vid
I just bought that like 5 days ago. How's it working for you?
TBG Oh, my mistake.
If the snowball selling for $40, it was on discount
Austendo it was in the previous video
what budget microphone would you reccomend for recording of a classical guitar? (playing classical music, not chords)
LOVE UR VIDEO CAN YOU MAKE A BUDGET SETUP EDITION ?
Thanks really needed this
Hey ed would you recommend the Focusrite Scarlett Solo Compact (2nd gen) seeing as it is the same price?
But in your opinion is the Blue Snowball better than all of these?
hello bro
which one is better Blue Snowball iCE or Blue Snowball
the SAMSON METEORITE and the CAD ZOE seem like the best options!
Tech Genius the Zoe sounded horrible, but the Meteorite sounded like the best to me.
I have it and it picks up a lot of background noise. I don't really recommend getting it.
I have the meteorite and was disappointed so ended up upgrading. Its got a really hollow sound if your not speaking directly into it.
Just want to throw it out there that I found the bm800 for 20 bucks at banggood, concidering that price it's far superior
Thanks
I love my my BM 800, I use it for my channel and gaming. It's great with the foucsrite solo
the snowball mic is at 39.99 on Amazon
BLACKHAWK5-7 he already did it on his last video
BLACKHAWK5-7 i have it :3 and with an pop filter its even better
Ticho Plays its a 49.99 with the pop filter
Don't buy a pop filter with it, put a sock on top of it. It actually works, trust me.
Save some of that hard earned cash!
L. Lawliet yeah I hear that before
Hi, what would you recommend to get for wind instrument recording? CAD U37 or the Blue Snowball ice?
Hey Ed, I have a question. I just bought the 6600K and the X31 Kraken CPU cooler. Is this cooler safe (could it leak?) and sufficient (good enough cooler for possible overclocking) for the 6600K? Thanks again.
lol I have the first one and it works great never thought it would make a top 5...
hey bro thanks for uploading this video
Would you recommend the blue snowball?
Ed will you please do a Top 5 Headsets. Litterally There have been none since Starts of 2016 and the some that are are from youtubers i cant trust. PLEASE consider doing that some day. Thanks,
Should I get the Samson c01u?
Im looking into starting im rapping, would you recommend me getting a audio interface?, or if I get the best mic on this list will it sound crisp enough?
The qibox bm 800 seems like the best one to pick if your starting youtube but want these fancy stuff (pop filer, mic holder, etc). later down the line, you should either get an ai first or get a blue snowball or other really good mic, or even stick with it until you get a really good mic
Wait the mic stand is sold seperately? Well that kinda ruins the purpose of this post :|
Are these better than the Blu Snowball Microphone?

Hey Ed, I have a blue yeti but i would like to know if i should get the bm 800 and a audio interface. Would the bm 800 be better?
hi ed i just picked up a gigabyte rx 460 4gb oc for £90 not sure if that was a great deal what do you think?

Ed, if you can can you do a video on budget Mix amps?
Do u think that the CAD U37 is better than the Blue Snowball Ice? I really would like someone's opinion! thx
amazing quality videos
best youtuber
Am I the only one thinking that the U1 had the best quality?
TheCrude no I thought so too
listen in the background, popping noise.
Maybe not the best but like top 3. Better than Samson for sure.
TheCrude I thought it sounded pretty decent as well
Bartosz Wróblewski No it was by far the worst.
Omg finally this video its my favorite
What about the Blue Snowball? Great mic for $30-40 on amazon or ebay!
Thanks techsource I just ordered a cad u37
Mello H is it good?
Wow,i like you(not gay) i like the style that you are doing it you are getting in the video so fast you are not talking to much like others youtubers just to have more minutes in the video and to put ads just for money,NICE CONTINUE LIKE THAT

Are there any differences between different brand BM-800 mics?
The app "Wish" actually has a $42 USD package, with a decent condenser mic, with a built in XLR cable and a basic audio interface, popfilter, shock mount, and desk-mounted boom arm all included. Pretty awesome deal.
Suren 力 do you have a link?

For German Viewers:
The QIBOX BM-800 is called "Minisky BM 800" and its Priced @ around 24€
you should have put the pyle PDMICC58..i got it last week for 20 cdn...amazing...
The samson go mic is a fairly cheap, portable and good option as well :)
the cad u1 is amazing its just the background noise
I want to start a youtube channel should I go with the Blue Snowball Ice or the CAD u37?
Roman Messali probably the blue snowball ice. But, if you can afford it, i would suggest the yeti. My friend has one and it sounds pretty good.
okay thanks
Roman Messali qibox with focusrite snow ball is over ratted
to expenisve
i have the snowball ice and you might have to connect it to a usb 3.0 port and if you use VoiceMeeter then it can make it sound like a studio mic, look up how to use VoiceMeeter with snowball mic and it is easy fast and simple
Is the CAD U37 compatible with the microphone stand? (you didn't mention this for any microphone in this video)
