Whenever I see these videos I think of those old school Camel Trophy guys just thrashing their Disco's through all those obstacles. Dudes getting out and helping to push those things through mud...on 31" tires. Now people make a surgical science out getting through rocks. Awesome Jeep. I would love one of those 4 door.
@enjoipandas They are "Limb Risers" (made by River Raider). Where I usually wheel there are lots of trees and tight trails, the wires lift the limbs up over the rig so they don't smack the windshield or smack you in the face through the windows.
@MrFito76 A stock one might have a little bit of an issue with this obstacle because of the break-over point and dragging the rear while trying to go up.. but it would only take slight modifications to do it.
@Guyll21 As stated before here in the comments.. At the time, the rig did not have hydro assist.. just factory PS which didn't last long on aired down 40's. The spotter was giving these commands because I couldn't execute the prior command properly as any assisted steering was all but lost by the exit of the hot tub. The dynamics of the situation was a rig with blown power steering in a relatively tight hot tub with a hard right exit that would have normally been a pretty easy obstacle.
thats some sick jeep thats my dream to make it look like that im 16 i have a jeep wrangler jk 2007 unlimited. i wanted to know to fix it up like how u have it how much dose it cost?
Again, the spotter was absolutely on point, and very experienced... It was I that may that more difficult than it should have been as I had just about no power steering which is no fun on aired down 40's.
@paintballer653 Yes, Mashed Potato in Moab.. Grinding gears?? there wasn't really any shifting to even grind gears.Was all done in 4-lo 1st and a couple times I shifted into reverse. You might be hearing the slack in the chain in the t-case.
@spankybrandonf I couldn't agree more! I would have NEVER made it through that hot tub without him spotting. I was still using stock power steering and had not yet upgraded to hydro assist so it made turning the wheel impossible without some sort of forward or rearward movement. The spotter understood this and guided me through patiently and perfectly.
@quadkid4 Their limb raiser I think it's called. Just to move branches and such out of the way. I know scars are cool, but if you could avoid getting your paint scratch why not...
As it is now, 2008 Rubicon 6 speed, ProComp 6" LA lift but now with 12" Rock Krawler 2.625 coil overs. Curri Rock Jock 60's 5.38 R&P, 40" Nitto Mud Grapplers ATX Slb Beadlocks, Off Road Evolution Armor front bumper and tire carrier, Off Road Heros top, Poly Performace roll cage Twisted Stitch seats with M&R Racing 5 point harness', Ansani designs hood and a stock 3.8 motor with a Diablo Sport Trinity programmer.
@erikhoeffner All the turning was my fault as I did not have hydro assist steering at the time.. trying to turn air downed 40" tires on the stock steering system was not easy so I could not execute his commands very good. In reality I probably should not have even attempted this obstacle. I blew 2 steering pumps that week.
What do you mean take the back off? He just took the top off like any Jeep is made to do and put a safari top on with a wind jammer. You can get them for cheap.
Big time props to the driver and the awesome rig, but gotta say the spotter was SPOT ON! Awesome vid!
That's one of the best jeep i've ever seen. Good luck with it
Love it no flashy video editing just pure wheelin action!

good constant instruction. unlike some who only speak when things are just about to go wrong or already have :)
What an amazing beautiful Jeep man!!!! Great job!!
What a beautiful Jeep
@MrFito76

that looks awesome! can anyone tell me the purpose of the 2 wires running from the hood to the windshield?
@HITMONEY What kind of modifications are we talking about - $, Thanks.
Awesome Video. Quik question.. Where did you get your side nets for the rear of the jeep?
Could you please tell me where u got that top and back window from I really like the way that looks..... Thanks
@HITMONEY oo ok i thought it looked famaliar... maybe what i heard was you shifting into first? or it could be the slack on the t-case
i see some strings going from the bumper to the top frame of the windshield, what are those for?
Hey man what suspension and snorkel is that. I really like it!
What brand of tops are you using?
I've never seen a fully enclosed duster windjammer combo, looks good!
Absolutely sick! Nicely done, Dennis.
RC
at the end .. the guy driving was like .. fuck ur driver horseshit .. im flooring it
lol. I caught that too.
Did you change any gearing after the lift. And second that is the coolest soft top I have ever seen, where did you get that
What a capable jeep, I really thought it is impossible to go up that wall in the end but it went up what was that 70° wall .amazing
@Guyll21

What did you use to black out your headlights? Sick Jeep. Great job.
Are your wheels flat or gloss black? Jw. Thanks. And nice jeep!!!
@HITMONEY How much did all that cost you ? jeep+mods ? Im thinking about financing one
Do the 6 cyl engines have enough torque/power when off road???
can u do that with a stock rubicon? Or it will break. thanks
Again, the spotter was absolutely on point, and very experienced... It was I that may that more difficult than it should have been as I had just about no power steering which is no fun on aired down 40's.

amazing run and spotter. thx for the video
Did you change the exhaust? If yes which one is it?
how to get the back cut off window like that. What company!!! that is exactly what i want.
@spankybrandonf

Incredible! I just could not. Good for Jeep!

Wouldn't happen to have a cardomain site would ya
do i hear Wayalife? in the background?
this is moab right? and was that you grinding gears?
is the tire flat or is it normal?
how high is ur lift and how big r ur tires?
That'll tighten the ol' sphincter right up!!
Dude SICK JEEP, is it manual? it's hard to tell but if it is, very nice driving.
can u find deeper water??
Yes, the axles were replace with Currie Rock Jock 60's and geared to 5.38
The top is made by Off Road Heroes. ;)
Great video! Do you run the stock engine or a V8 upgrade?
Very nice ride. Almost thought it was going to tip on the rear tire for a bit.
Great looking truck!
Nice looking Jeep!
Exhaust?
good job guys, it was awesome!!
Brand name of those fender flares??
Awesome rig dude
That was nice and clean!
Specs on jeep?
@HITMONEY That explanation wasn't in the description, but my gripe still rings true in 90% of cases.
what editing program r u using?
A+++ Spotter! Well Done, Sir!
@johninloveindaytona
thank you, but trust me.. it wasnt easy at all. I virtually had no steering in there. This year will be a different story. :)
Best rig on You Tube, and I watch a lot of youtube!!
bad ass jeep and dude great wheelin man
They are limb risers.. not real useful in Moab, but very useful back here on the east coast.
That is a sweet lookin jeep :)
4 dr jeeps are kick ass perfect wheel base
I have to give you credit, I'd be soiling myself if I was in the driver seat. Great JK, awesome video, and thanks for leading me to the forum!

@HITMONEY badass JK and i didnt think your going to make it but its a jeep and nothing can stop them. epic climb!
Yes, I have MBRP Black Series exhaust system.
Thank you.. Again, I had a great spotter.
What kind of top is that?
It is an Off Road Heros cargo top.
***** Thank You.
Wow thats a good spotter and driver team!
@HITMONEY Thats really interesting. Thanks and happy wheeling.
What are those cables/ropes that go from windshield to hood?
Limb risers
there to deflect branches on the trail from hitting the windshield
Good driving skills !! nice car.
@PCTekKid
Tires are just aired down. Normal.
Thanks! The top is made by Off Road Heros.
That is amazing I didn't think it was gonna happen
looks like the driver got sick of listening to the spotter lol. what was the point of doing all that? picture oportunities?
Yeah the entire break down of the Jeep is in the comments below, doesn't anyone read comments first before asking questions?? Silly goose hahaha
Damn I love that jeep. makes it look easy.
@erikhoeffner

I love how you took the back off to look like a duel cab ute.
What do you mean take the back off? He just took the top off like any Jeep is made to do and put a safari top on with a wind jammer. You can get them for cheap.
@Spankyshooter
I run the MBRP Off Road Black Series
There are satin black powder coat.
Damn fine spotter on that one!
Fantastic Spotter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice job man.... I would look at that jack on the spare.... could cause u some problems...
It was actually some of the best spotting I've ever had. It was difficult for me to follow instruction as I had just about zero power steering.
I really didnt think it would make it. Specially in water. Wow!
