I just wana say that as a guy who doesn’t have anyone (dad, friends ,whatever) to pass on knowledge you do THE BEST job I love seen so far at explaining things in a way I can understand. I am so Grateful! We are getting a motor back together and I can’t wait to use the stuff I’ve learned and hopefully get it right this time! :) again Thank you man there might be some other bigger channels but quality don’t lie and I think your channel is guna be HUGE!

I appreciate the kind words. I am not sure if it will take off or not but when I run into something tough I like to cover and share it.

Kind of complicated things that the Holley system is not giving you raw, real pid numbers. The old c950 gave raw pid numbers for iac, and idle spark control. One of the engineers at Holley touched on this on the Holley forums a few years back. They've "dumbed down&locked out" a lot of that stuff. Probably for their learn and closed loop compensation. You'd think for the HP and dominator they'd give you the option of accessing the raw numbers in an advanced table.

Let me confirm but I’m pretty sure you can do custom control on closed loop by selecting advanced
It’s all about the target consumer. 90% of their business is a one size fits all efi approach. When you get into that market you have to put the handcuffs on to protect people from themselves.
      But in short, I agree

Really appriciate all the info you are providing. I have a theory about the titles for some of your videos. I see on a lot of your videos you have the abbrevation GSP in the title. I know it is the channel name, but I can guarantee you people searching for videos on youtube scroll right past title with unfamiliar abbrevation. Say if I want to learn about Idle control, and I find a video called "Idle control with GSP", then I would automatically think that is not my system due to the (to me) unfamiliar abbrevation. Just an theory. Anyway, thanks for posting.

Any tips on what I should call it then? My initial thought was to “build a brand” but I see your side of it as well.

@@greenshortsperformance472 Hi. I dont have anything specific. It was just the first thing that I thought before I watched your videos.

    Where are you from man?

Hi. If, possible, could you explain the challanges with holley efi and manual transmission? Thinking about when the tps is 0 but the car is in gear and the clutch is engaged. So the efi tries to force the motor back to idle as it does not know the car is driving in gear. Does this sound familiar? I guess many people does not know this can be tuned. Thanks.

Sure. I’ve been thinking of doing a follow up to this video and that would be a good topic to cover.
Ultimately the way to do it is to have IAC at or ever so slightly under zero, the IAC hold fairly low and the rpm to start ramp low with the rpm to restart control low also. Basically don’t start trying to “idle” until it’s time to idle

@@greenshortsperformance472 I have been watching so many EFI videos and this have never been discussed. It must be a common problem for many. But they do not know it can be improved. My guess it would be a interesting topic for many. Thanks for the information :)
