@@heatherhiggins2002 I am a gun rights person. We have a constitutional right to own and carry guns plus we have many laws on the books many of them unconstitutional. What law do you think we dont have that we need that would have stopped this? Laws dont stop CRIMINALS or wackos. Illegal to murder but people still do. Illegal to sell drugs yet people still do illegal to steal, drink and drive, break and enter YET everyday this happens. Now just think for a moment if teachers were armed could they have stopped this at 1,2, 3 deaths most likely. Now I dont in any way condone a gun right supporter harassing a person for a different opinion they have just as much right to voice and fight for their beliefs as I do. My problems with the Anti-gun people is 1 dont want to change the law the right way which is a constitutional amendment 2 the perverted way they want to interpret the 2nd amendment. One only needs to google the founding fathers papers right out of the national archives to see what they wrote vs going by somebody else’s opinion. Its clear as day if you would just take the time to look for yourself. How many more background checks can you do on me? How many more times do you want my fingerprints on file? I have a CCW permit and conceal carry all the time. Its like Anti-gun people think if we just ban these people from guns it will stop it. How many times have Cops stopped drunk drivers only to find they have no license because of drunk driving? But really if you dig into this and are willing to do so with an open mind you will soon find that the Anti-gun people have lost this battle and so has the government. You may say hows that? Well its called Technology. You can pass all the so called “common sense” bills you want you can close every gun manufacturer (be sure to do that in every country by the way or they will just get smuggled in) and you could even erase the 2nd Amendment and it all means NOTHING!! Do you really want to know why congress doesnt act on this? Hell ban “high capacity magazines MEANS NOTHING! Congress on both sides of the aisle know they lost this battle in epic form and truthfully if the Anti-gun people actually applied a little time in research on this I think you would conclude that this subject is better left alone and if you push anymore you will lose in an EPIC way! You have right now what you want and don’t even know it you already have what you are fighting for and again don’t realize it. If you push anymore you will tip the scales into my favor. Remember right now you know who has guns and what guns because of background checks and gun registry but I on the other hand don’t want you knowing and really don’t want the gov knowing what I have or how much I have of it. I believe guns are the last stop of a tyrannical government. Keep this in mind that water always without fail follows the path of least resistance as do deer and as do you. Right now its only a bit easier to obtain a gun legally than illegally, if you push anymore of this BS commonsense gun reform you WILL change the path of least resistance from legal to illegal. I bet your still wonder how Washington has lost this or how Anti-Gun people have lost this. As I mentioned earlier TECHNOLOGY i no longer need gun manufacturers to make a gun. You no longer need them for parts hell you dont really need auto part manufactures any more. All you need is a computer, the internet and a 3D printer. Dont believe me, look up Jeff Dunham the ventriloquist comedian HE NOW MAKES HIS OWN PUPPETS look up 3D printers. All I ned to do is look up on the internet the specifications of ANY gun load that into a 3D printer and PRINT MY PART OR PRINT THE GUN. Now granted Its made of plastic HOWEVER you now have the perfect mold, now get acetylene for torches and sand and melt the metal right in your garage look it up people cast stuff all the time now. Look it up on RUclips A car battery will supply you with lead for bullets. So keep pushing and soon you will have people just making them themselves and you and the gov will have no idea they exist. There are videos all over showing you how to do it hell look up what the government considers a gun and the realize you could build these and sell them to people like me LEGALLY because in the governments eyes they are not guns its an unfinished product in which case I buy and with a drill bit and a drill I finish it into a gun and NO REGISTERING IT its as though it doesnt exist and if I can do this and if you can do this THAN KNOW SO CAN A WHACK JOB AND FELON AND CRIMINAL. You really need to realize that if you want to keep any type of so called gov enforced gun control YOU ALREADY HAVE THE MAX you will ever get push anymore and the water will go the path of least resistance and you will loose what you have. These cowardly politicians know this on both sides of the aisle and thats why they keep it all talk and very little to no action because anymore pushing and I will just make my own without their permission, anymore and I will just make my own magazines its already being done DAILY. People are starting to make their own car parts!! If the Anti-Gun people knew what was best they would shutt up and go along with the politicians it may help them in getting a couple more years of their “Fantasy” control that they pretend to have.

Losing a child always hurts. Time passes and things shift that make it not the center of your universe. You have to keep going because you don't have any other choice. And one day, you do learn to live a new normal. But it will always hurt. Things will be bittersweet. I have a trunk of things from the NICU. It is all I have of my oldest daughter who would be ten this month. She lived six days. The thought of a single one of those things going missing or throwing them away would kill me. I had no issue using clothes she never used, but her blanket was hers. I have parts of her intabation tube and while some would see trash, I couldn't part with it. If that mother needs to hold onto that Halloween candy for the rest of her life because that is a reminder of her son, then she should! These are the physical reminders of those last moments, days, months, happier times. It was a piece of his life. The rest of that memory is love and she is sharing that love and her son through the world.

Thank God I live in the UK 🇬🇧 parents don't have to kiss their children goodbye for school and live in fear of them being shot or killed at School and not ever coming home again. What with politics, gun lobby and money it will never end as it is sadly embedded in the culture. We have only ever had one Primary school shooting in UK 🇬🇧 1996 was the first to this day 2022 none since. Our police don't carry gun's so don't just shot people when there's no need to draw their weapon. As a person living UK 🇬🇧 it comes across to us most American people love their guns 1st, human lives come 2nd. Americans right to bare arms, such a heavy heavy price the people pay especially the very young and innocent children that are taken far to soon in this crazy gun culture don't get the chance to grow up and have a life of their own as gun's are more important then they are. As a parent my heart goes out to all those parents that have lost children in such a senseless needless way before Sandy Hook all the shootings since then and those still yet to come. Not going into the Night Club shootings and Vegas concert shooting and all the many many others that have happened which is normal day to day life in the USA.

Listen, The phone calls to parents wouldn't have gone out to parents in the same manner calls went out to 911. It just wouldn't have happened or no call at all, just silence until it was absolutely all over! Nope, not the case here... all 20 kids, within 40 minutes, 40 parents arrived, identified, and was already given interviews about their child!

While it was going on no one really knew exactly what was happening, we just knew that all of the schools in the surrounding areas went into lock down and there were active shooters. They thought it was more than 1 shooter. It was so scary, we couldn't get our kids. 1st initial thought you think as a parent are all schools are being attacked and your kid is in danger. However, consider this: In Canada (we have extremely strict gun laws) we haven't had one single school shooting since December 6th 1989. Not one bullet fired inside a school since then. Our citizens have the same stresses, problems problems dealing with problems as Americans. The big difference when it comes to school shootings, is , guns or lack there of. Maybe looking to countries who don't have the severity of gun problems as America does, might be a good place to start looking for solutions.
