For anyone who is wondering read this.
She has vasculitis, an auto-immune disease that attacks her blood vessels, which can cause some serious fatigue and pain. Her last 2 RUclips community posts (around Nov 2022, and Jan 2023) mentioned she has been in and out of the hospital and Drs are regularly changing her meds around and trying different treatments to find something that helps.

I’ve commented about 7 months ago, I’m still hoping that everything’s okay for Rin. She’s been an inspiration for me for nearly 8 years now (I was in middle school when I got into her content, and now I’m currently a junior in design school), and she’s helped me get through so many parts of my art journey. I wanted to let you know that my daughter refuses to sleep unless I put one of your videos on as back ground noise lately. Your voice used to comfort me in the same way when things got hard for me in the foster home I was in when I found your channel, your art inspired me a great deal as well. Not seeing a video from you in so long is alarming knowing you received bad news about your health a while back but I know it could be the reason for your radio silence in the first place. I just hope you're alive and taking care of yourself. It would be nice if we got some sort of update on you and where you've been soon but your health (both physical and mental) comes first so if you just aren't ready to post yet then I (and I'm sure everyone else as well) understand. This is so nostalgic-I remember painted eggs with my sister and mama at our kitchen table and trying to be as careful with them as possible because we didn’t realize they were hard boiled lol

Any coloured egg with a pattern on it would be called a "pisanka" in polish! I'm pretty sure what you were thinking of is a traditional polish folklore pattern 🩷 They're often painted on eggs for easter too, but nowadays it's more common for people to use premade plastic "egg sleeves" which you wrap around the egg and place into hot water. It shrinks around it sort of like a water tattoo does on your skin, but it also makes a pretty pattern with a lot less effort 😅 We arrange the eggs with other things (kiełbasa, bread, babkas, salt, boxwood, catkins and more) in a wicker basket, cover it with a lace tablecloth and bring it to church on Easter Saturday to have it be sacred ! The food from the basket is eaten for breakfast on Easter Saturday 🩷🐣 I've always loved the polish easter traditions! You should also look up "palemki wielkanocne", it seems like something fun to draw since they're super colourful! Happy Easter Rin 🩷🐰
Edit: Oh my goodnes i also love borscht!! Red borscht is my favourite though 😂 It's a traditional Christmas food here and i too spend the whole year looking forward to eating it 😅

This sounds a bit like what we do in my Russian Orthodox church!
The tradition is from ancient Ukraine, and we, Ukrainians, still keep up with the tradition using real eggs , wax and a thing called a "pysachok" to draw the designs! they're really fun to make and some designs are very meaningful and hold lots of value for Easter as well as just nice messages said using specific designs
I think it's not only Polish tradition, rather Slavic one. In Russia we paint eggs as well and I've definitely heard people use the word 'pisanka' (писанка) for them
Hi Rin, I don’t know if I’m able to put into words how much we all love you here in our small family so I’ll tell you my story of how I found you and how much you helped me but first I have to say I’m hoping your well even if you don’t post we will understand we just want you to get better. Back in like 2017 I was going through a hard time with mental health issues and health problems that’s also when I started realizing how mean people can be I was younger then and bullied relentlessly not just verbal but physically too and my way to escape was art, I had come home one night grabbed my sketchbook to art vent and opened RUclips I saw a video from this channel called drawing wiff waffles and decided to click on it and instantly fell in love there’s something about your videos that is comforting I found my safe space doing art with you even many years later having gotten out of those situations I still come here frequently to draw along with you you truly made a difference in my life as I know you did in others. Just like everyone else, I've been checking your channel see if you've popped in. I just hope that you're okay and taking care of yourself. You've always been such a bright and fun artist to watch, your work is always so cute and you're always willing to experiment with new things and it's always inspired me to do the same. Finding your videos made me reconnect with drawing again and I'm really grateful for that.
I had a really big change in my life happen around 2017 and I lost every piece of art I had saved for 15 years. It all hit me pretty hard and I basically gave up entirely on drawing. I didn't even try to draw anything for probably a couple of years after that. And then, honestly I don't remember how, but I stumbled across one of your videos (I think it was one where you drew a girl in a striped diner outfit?) and it woke something back up in me. It took a lot of practice and frustration with myself for how much I hard to work my skills back up, but drawing along with your videos really helped. And honestly now I'm drawing better than I ever had.
So I guess what I'm saying is thank you for that. Even if it wasn't on purpose, I'm really grateful. Thank you.
