What he did was call 911 and ask for help, I did that on a car accident, does that make me a hero? because I would call it common sense. beatrice lim I mean I understand your parents but at that age my friends and I basically rotated houses EVERY weekend. We must’ve had a sleepover every weekend for years. Our parents barely knew each other but treated us all so well, took care of us. And none of us were ever hurt in any way. All we have are those great memories that I’m sad you won’t get. Most people are good not bad. Sad that we can’t live in this world that has made us so paranoid. And I’m not sure in the future with my own kids I will be as trusting as my parents and my friends’ parents were. But I will do my best to let my kids live life and have fun memories, responsibly.

And he probably told the man to go down the path that was closed off, so that way he would find her and help her. Damn. Guess my overprotective paranoid Mexican parents were right. You never know what can happen. I had my first sleepover at 18 with my best friend of 6 years at her house. I can't imagine how awful it must've been for that poor girl. She's a strong warrior and the man who found her is a blessing in disguise.
My kids aren't going to do sleepovers unless it's at our house. I had sleepovers growing up but it's true "nothing good happens after midnight!" In my case a lot of gossip and over eating but it can be way worse than that. Thankfully the culture where I am raising my daughters isn't too hyped on sleepovers.

Nothing horrible, but I definitely called my mom to pick me up a few times because some weird stuff was going down and I wanted no part of it. Call me a helicopter parent; I don’t care. All I care about is my kids’ safety.

Anna Ess it’s sad the world we live in. I went to so many sleepovers at that age. Like hundreds. We were never hurt in any way. I guess I was lucky that I had a group of friends with great parents.
