@@TomasWatchReviews You mean about 10-20% up in price, just like everything else? Or you mean that in recent years they started to produce some more expensive, "shinier" models? I can't blame Casio for any of those reasons. Inflation nowadays is a global thing, mostly because of cost of fuel. And, in the other case, if they want to milk some dumbos, who have excess of money, with shiny expensive objects, they have every right to do so, just like any other company. Very nice. I have the two-tone version of this with the Miyota movement and quite like it. Like you I'm tempted to get another colorway of it too (probably the all-silver). 😃
@@marcusrico5288 No complaints on that front. Wears quite comfortably. Even a year later, I still wear it every few weeks all day at work. I bought some higher end watches since then, so they get more wear time, but I still enjoy this one occasionally too and don't regret buying it.
Id hate to be annoying but could you take a picture of the gold watch but with a leather strap so i can see how it looks on strap? :) i couldnt find any picture of the gold one with a leather strap anywhere :(

I just bought the gold version and it's beautiful, it matches all my gold jewelry. The only thing I hope is that the tone doesn't fade too quickly. How long did the gold plating last on your watch? Did the gold plating wear off in the time you had it? Very good video by the way.
Cadisen cyclop is not sapphire. Cadisen bracelet feels better. Cadisen 38mm vs Parnis 36mm. Cadisen inside walls are polished out. Cadisen blue looks incredible. Cadisen is not screw down crown, Parnis is.

I got the Two tone and what can I say? While I'm relieved that I picked up a used one for under 50 bucks I gotta say: this watch performes very weak. Why? It's just too thick, too clumsy, the lugs are thick and clumsy. Just no. The watch doesnt sit well on the wrist, the backplate just raises the watch so high, that the sides doesnt close clean with your wrist. This is maybe ok with a field watch on a nato strap but not for a dress watch. Proportions are very bad,. It's a shiny potato. What I've learned? You won't find a decent 36mm datejust homage on Aliexpress. Even Vintage DJ Homage quartz watches will just look more refined and beautiful. For chinese brands San Martin 36mm DJ could be a nice pick but at that price point you could also just buy a super clone (or even 2) and be happy lol
@@TomasWatchReviews Parnis' product maybe is sporty (because it's so clumsy) but the famous watch they are homaging is of course considered to be a dress watch. A fluted bezel doesnt scream "sport" but "dress" :) If the thickness would have come because of a domed curved crystal, I would understand, but almost 13mm thickness with a flat crystal is bad for a Datejust in 36mm und such short lugs. A 38-40mm Model compensates the thickness with a 48mm lug-to-lug. You can see this for example on the Cadisen watches. Just compare how the Parnis sits on your wrist with the Cadisen. Cadisen sits clean, Parnis sticks out because of the back. Wrist size is 18cm. I found the watch to look even more absurd on leather straps because then you see even more how thick the lugs are (which makes them look even shorter than they are, what makes the watch look even more clumsy). Very bad proportions.
@@TomasWatchReviews for the clones they use an asian copy of ETA 2836 movement, which allowes to build slim 36mm watches. I'm suprised that there is until now no homage watch which uses the same principle. San Martin released a 36,5mm dj homage but it looks more like trimmed down 37/38mm so the dial is a big to big too. the PT5000 they use in their great Explorer Homage is a copy of ETA 2824, hope the company which produces pt5000 will also hop on the effortable clone 2836 train too.
@TomasWatchReviews i bought it depending on your recommendation than i saw it's small and for women, bad recommendation man, i hope you be more selective in future.
Classic is classic, will never change. Golden or extra shinny watch in big size is cringe. It must be small to have some elegance. Otherwise it will look like you are trying to compensate for something. By the way, it is Christmas.. Are drunk a bit?

That is a bit strange it waits so long but least it works. Not the biggest gold / faux gold fan, so I'd probably stick to the steel.
