I just started and at the moment I am moving to another house (yes with a much bigger workspace than my former tiny little garage). So there is a pauze at the moment, but it is to set up my new workspace.
This is gonna be one of those channels where you sit back, relax and watch someone DIY. Great quality of video and audio. No useless music and endless talking. Keep up the great content 👍

I watched the chips(fries) restoration yesterday and I came back for the drill today. I must say, these are great videos and great restorations! Can't wait for more! Also, I have a hand drill like the first one you showed for a back-up drill for my jelwery class I teach and the kids are always perplexed the first time they come across it in the tool drawer. It always makes me laugh. I never knew there were 2 speed ones as well! So cool!

As a child of the 50s I grew up using these breasts drills as you call them, we also a regular hand crank drill and a hand crank grinding stone bench mounted of course that we sharpen the bits on. Dad called the breast drills a brace and bit, kind of sounds more English. Hopefully this puts a smile on your face in your video your using a hand whisk in your coffee. In our kitchen amongst all the Vintage utensils also resides a 1940's style hand crank drill fitted with a whisk. It only runs out of power when I do. Thanks for the shout out on the screw restoration tip I gave you from Mark Novak's Channel.

I don't agree actually. Most things are repairable, I myself have with low soldering skills repaired modern tech such as washers and dryers, tv:s and so on, mostly by changing faulty components. Most turtorials are avaliable online. But people are in general way more prone to throw things away now a days and buy new than try to repair themselves or let a professional do it, I'll give you that :)
@@Danieel-ip6hg The main problem are the small SMD. For example a resistor is broken and has an resistance of ∞R. And on very small SMD there's no value written on it. So, no chance to replace it bcs you don't know the value.
@@Kai_der_Hai If a through hole resistor burns up, you won't be able to read it's value either. But that's rarely a fault anyway. I have hardly bought anything I use daily anew. Smartphone, LCD screens (5 in total), several large LCD TVs (that I don't even watch), 3 laptops, 2 projectors, a Teufel amplifier, the automatic coffee machine, digital cameras (2 of them DSLRs), wifi router and network switch, powertools... All repaired and (almost) for free. And that doesn't even list all the other devices and appliances I repaired for other people or just gave away. Things are as repairable as they've ever been. But everything is so cheap nowadays (compared to income), that people rather buy new than go through the effort to repair. The heck, most people throw stuff away before it's even broken! With catastrophic consequences for the environment...

Problem with subtitles is that you can only watch one thing at a time. With a voice over you can keep watching the actual content.

Great intro, I feel a little bit of history around the object you are working on is important and gives more meaning to the restoration.
Great editing and filming skills and your attention to detail is awesome. Old channel was great and a pity that it had to stop but this is also great.
Really nice restauration! Just wish you kept the handles red.
That looked too toy-like for me though but it is personal I guess, I like the natural color of wood and how the color might change over time.
