Hi Nikki, I recently came across your channel and am so impressed with your tutorials that I have been glued to your channel all weekend! I just turned 70 and have very dark circles under my eyes along with bags and of course lose skin and wrinkles. None of the concealers I've tried over the years have ever worked for me. Then I came across your tutorial on color correction, and then it all made since!! Lol. No wonder it wasn't working! Thank you so much for for all your tutorials, they are all so helpful. Hi Niki I have mature skin. I don’t wear foundation so concealer shades are tough for me to pick. I am light skinned with cool/neutral undertones. Currently I just use Sigma Duo corrector in shade light/med, mostly the light side topped with CT flawless powder in shade fair. I’m looking for a more emollient corrector or a concealer that matches my skin like sigma does. Don’t need to brighten it up, I like it to look like I’m not wearing anything. I’m light like you with some of those pesky veins coming through now. Suggestions are welcome. Thank you. Great video ❤

I'm totally trying out these new tips on my undereyes when I go out. Sometimes my dark circles still peek out at the darkest parts. Also, I have these naturally "puppy" eyes where there's these divots at the outer corner of my eyes giving me a natural straight out or downward eyeliner shape as well as hooded eyes with not much eyelid real estate. But sometimes I want to do a cat eye or a wing that goes up and all glammed up and such instead of a cutesie look. Hopefully it'll also work on the divots on the outer Vs of my eyes because I really want to expand my choices for eye makeup.

I love your videos Nikki. I have a million concealers and I never use them under my eyes. Why? I wear glasses that in overhead lighting, throw a dark shadow right there! Also I wear hats all the time, so even if I do have discoloration, no one can tell.
Can you apply cream products after this, like a cream blush? I’d be worried about the cream mixing with the powder along the cheek bone. Made the mistake years ago of accidentally mixing cream and powder and it was not good lol 😳😅

I have this too. For me it’s hereditary. I heard color corrector helps. Also, concealer but let it dry a bit so it has a lot of coverage. FWIW I’ve also gotten filler there to lessen the look.
@@KayMay12 my darkness is hereditary too, the hollows getting worse I’m sure is age. I’m thinking about the fillers but it makes me nervous! Might come down to that though.
I totally hear you with this and know exactly what you mean, my best tip is to in fact just use a lighter shade to highlight that area and bring light back to it. If that’s not doing enough I’d suggest using a bit of color corrector first just like this video and then applying the brighter shade on top. Just make sure to use thin layers so it’s not too heavy !! I hope this helps! Let me know!

Just a question, I don't always do the color correct, so I'm guessing I could follow these techniques and cut that step (i.e. moisturize well, concealer with sponge not brush, powder with same sponge while looking high in the sky)? 100 percent you can absolutely skip the color correct and use the rest of my techniques for a smooth under eye! Thank you for watching this tutorial!!❤️❤️
Any good drugstore concealers for this technique? I rarely use full coverage concealers so it makes sense (like you say :)) that when I've tried to color correct with them some peach shows through or mixes and it looks weird. I like the kosas, nars creamy and maybelline fit me. And I use bobbi brown corrector or la girl. I also feel like I can never get my sponge perfectly damp! It's either too wet or too dry! 😄
Hello Nikki! How are you? I love your videos, and love watching your videos. However, I have some questions about skincare I guess you would say, and makeup application & other stuff. I am 47 years old and wasn't good to my skin/face when I was younger and for many years. I never was taught about skincare and the application and the different products also were never taught about makeup and how to apply it correctly and how to apply it. As I'm getting older my face is showing a lot of aging. I have a lot of wrinkles. I have really bad crow's feet from having bad eyesight since childhood plus not wearing sunscreen & sunglasses. I know probably the best thing for crow's feet is botox and other cosmetics correcting procedures. Is there anything that you can help me with for this problem? It seems like when I apply foundation, concealer which I really suck at mind you it settles into my crow's feet and makes them stand out worse, instead of trying to make them not as noticeable. My undereyes are the color of your undereyes directly at your lashes. Ugh. I am having trouble with concealer. I must have 10. The only one that gives enough coverage is IT Bye Bye Illumination Full-Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof. Problem is that product is thick and hard to blend. Any suggestions?
Nikki I am 66… This was so helpful! I will try the damp beauty blender, but I don’t think powder works under my eyes any more. I own the Givenchy, Charlotte Tilbury, Westman Atelier, Kosas, and Laura M. powders. Which would you advise I try with your damp beauty blender method of setting my concealer? Thanks so much!
That line of demarcation between the cheek and undereye is such a pest, specially as we grow older, can you do a tutorial on how to camouflage that? Or is this it? Also! Please powder under the eyes without looking disgustingly dry and more creased?
Eye creams are really not necessary as a person with under eye darkness and dryness. You can use your moisturizer or serum . Eye creams are literally just Money grabs lol . You’re a makeup artist Stick to makeup not skincare ,

Eye creams are really not necessary as a person with under eye darkness and dryness. You can use your moisturizer or serum . Eye creams are literally just Money grabs lol . You’re a makeup artist Stick to makeup not skincare ,
