On mine both the black and white vacuum tubes are broke, i bought some air brake tubing to run through the loom under the acumulator and up to the vacuum source between the evaporater housing and the passenger side of the engine and that fixed the black vacuum source, and a piece of 5/32 vacuum hose, approximately a foot and attached that to the white hose, and from there to the fresh air mode door actuator that is located in the corner of the passenger side firewall, the vent door actuator is located under the dash, to the right of the ash tray, on my 92 f150, thanks for the video!
Thank you for fixing my 96 f150.Iit had the corroded vacuum line just as you said. In my case it was so brittle it was gone, but I could see where it broke off.
Lonewolf3165 I am having an issue where I get air coming from the blower motor and out of the blend door/into the cabin, but it does not come out of the vents. Think it could be one of those??
Can you describe wherebout these 2 are? & are they the same part number as the one under the hood? I just checked the one under the hood by manually moving it and its not right, inner mechanism feels corroded. I figure after 23 years all of them are due.
@@redmachine4542 THANKS MUCH! I know there is also one under the hood at the passenger corner near the heater hoses. So know I can begin a strategy to replace them. They are not cheap = around $50 each. However after years of going round and round regarding the evaporator core location, last summer I was reworking all the gaskets on my engine and DUH...there was heater core covered in a foil wrap super easy to get to. YAY!
Hey looks like you are knowledgeable about these trucks. I’m looking to buy my first one and the one I went to check out had two hoses disconnected. I’d really appreciate if you could name what the hoses are. On 0:06 the two hoses are coming out of the wall. I feel like it’s not good to have them disconnected hahaha. Thanks in advance!!
If there is a vacuum line leak in the line....shouldn't the heater Ac direction doors still work...operating the vacuum control manually? If testing the broken line produces no vacuum then what?
would this fix my lukewarm heat? i can hear the doors moving when i turn it from floor to vent but on vent and floor it’s cold, when i turn it to vent i get amazing heat for about a second then it gets lukewarm, and i can hear a door almost closing instead of staying open.
Well what do you know, my heater wasn't working on my 96 so I went to check the vacuum line and it was cut off.. weird thing is whoever had it before me put a zip tie on the actuator that holds the line... could this be the reason for no heat?
That sounds like you have multiple issues at hand. Check your thermostat (May not even have one in place), check your heater core to ensure it isn't plugged up, etc.
Bro, my white tracer vacuum line was eroded at a sharp bend and I just repaired it as you mentioned. My AC is now colder again because it's recirculating again when set to "MAX AC"
Sir mine was different than this.when i got in a hard pul the door would open an when i let of the gas it would shut. Now all it does is blow out of the defrost an want blow no where else.please help if can.thank for your videos it help some
Does anybody know if on an 83 f150 does this vacuum system still require a cable behind the control levers to operate? Can't find a cable hanging anywhere and just lost the air flow direction.
Pull your glove box out, and look at approx. a 10 O' Clock position, on top of the AC Ducting and you will see a white piece of plastic that SHOULD have a wire coiled around it. That's the other end of the cable from the HVAC panel that moves the blend door.
My first AC vaccum hose broke after 22 years. Now replacing it with OE is a bit tougher. Those tiny vacuum lines are brittle. The electric HVAC controls never last 22 years. Praise anything without a god**(*&( motor and computer.
Take a piece of the plastic tubing you remove with you to the parts store so you can use it to size vacuume hose to fit tubing! Plastic tubing is just another cheap means ford used to build the vacuumed system!

That vacuum motor is actually just the fresh air/ recirculation door motor. There are 2 more vacuum motors under the dash to control the vent modes.

Awesome video. Glad I finally found someone on here who knows what they’re talking ab and how to explain it. Thanks for the help!👍🏻
All incorrect info. This video demonstrates how to fix the recirculation door. Not the panel, defrost, floor problem.

If testing the broken line produces no vacuum then what?
Where can I find a blower box blend door? Searched everywhere I can think of. !993 F-250, XLT ,5.8
Pull the glove box out and you'll see the cable assembly hooked to the top of the duct assembly.
What size tubing /hose for that particular vacuum line? Mine is all the way corroded and disconnected
7/64 I believe
Hot damn ! I think this is it ! 🤞🤞🤞
Very good , mine came apart this video simplified it. I didn’t know where the wire came from
I have a 96 sport 6 cyn. Exp. I reached around for flap could not find it. There is just the plunger flap for ac to right. Help Help.

Sounds like it's losing vacuum somewhere. Go over your vacuum system good, see if that helps.

Glad to hear you got it fixed!
Well i did find that hose completely broken but now im facing the a/c compressor not kicking on.
found the vacuum line your referring too was completely snapped off, must be the reason my vent takes a while to switch between different modes
I guess I'm kind of off topic but does anyone know a good place to watch new series online?
@Riley Easton Flixportal :)
@Theodore Braxton Thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :) I really appreciate it!
@Riley Easton Happy to help xD
My heater doesn't turn off at all. Could this be the culprit? (92 F150)
Looking for answer to this too
Dude! you're the fucking man! Opened up a can of worms on my 92 f 250 and found this channel... thanks doggie

Vacuum issue. Check for breaks and whatnot

Add that using electrical shrink wrap over repaired vacuum line connections
hello i need to know ,how to clean blocked ac drain water in f150 1994. Thanks!!
you said a wire may have slipped from in there. can you be more specific

That's the other end of the cable from the HVAC panel that moves the blend door.
Thanks for the video and specifying where to find this. Just got our first snow and it managed to be a super quick fix so ready to roll!
Good video! Thanks
How do you find the blend door
go in under glove box, pull heater core, 10 screws, 45m

I fixed this but i still don’t have any floor heat it comes out the defrost but the vent seems okay
That sounds like the actual door not working correctly
Try moving it manually, if it works correctly then it is probably a bad servo/vacuum setup
THANK YOU
dont have enough vaccum at the valve, very little vaccum at the white line
dang i broke the actuator door lever. gonna have to replace that whole door
how do i get the vacuum motor off
2 screws hoding it to the blower housing. Probably 7mm or 9/32".
screws come out, but that doesnt help. Unhooking is the problem.
