- This is it, the FULL video of my 1/18 scale Supercar/hypercar collection. This IS a very expensive hobby and my collection has passed the AUD$100,000 mark which is quite scary to think about. But I love this hobby and I love helping you fellow collectors with providing full reviews of new models, and also helping fellow model builders too. I hope you enjoy this video.

I got 2, both autoart 1/18 cars. My first one was a silver 2006 ford gt with white stripes and the second is a volcano orange McLaren p1 gtr
I had matchbox toy cars and I trashed them until I went on eBay and realised they were like 30 pounds and they were broken, battered and they were miniscule

The Lexus LFA is my favorite of all time. Obviously not the fastest but the most spirited engine and sounds the best

Between myself and my two sons we have about 40 1/18 scale supercars. My wife doesn't want us to buy another one. I should show her this video and tell her it's not so bad LOL

Spot on Rob definitely gotta focus what you have to collect otherwise you spend for no reason. I've gotta similar focus like you do. I only collect the cars I truly love. Don't really collect for the hype... It's with any hobby really. You got the greatest collection on earth for sure.

Easier said than done I think. Trying to focus by making a wishlist, but I don't always stick to it, & there's always another interesting car I'd never heard of before. Luckily 1/43 so not as expensive ad these high end 1/18s. I mix up the quality to save money on some but spend a bit more on the favourites. But sometimes the cheap ones are just not good enough
@@Tom_Hadler I bought few models first and knew the exact type of models I'll be collecting. So I never spend on anything that just gets announced. I think long and hard whether the models I buy is true to the focus of the collection. For example I bought only the special editions of the models. Example - 430 Scuderia, 670-sv rather than collecting f430 or the lp640...
This has to be one of the greatest collections that i have ever seen, just remember no matter how small or large your collection is just have fun. This is a great hobby to be involved with & so many cars to choose from.
This brings out memories from my childhood when I collected ferrari diecast models by maisto whenever we gas up in Shell
F40 also always be my legendary favourite models...

I have several hundred myself but not all super and hyper cars. I have a lot of muscle and tuners mixed in. This collection is too sick! Mine are all sitting in boxes in storage until I can get a dedicated spot like this.

How much does a 1:18 costs in general ?
@@deceny5155 all depends on quality / manufacturer / detail / mass production or limited run - you can spend as little as $20 for a Maisto model and spend thousands on bespoke customs.
I have 0 and am scared to start this hobby because I will be like you and get way too many lol
Loved watching this. I don't have a great number of high end models but it still scares me to think how much I've spent on mine, and I have only a hundred or so. Thanks for recommending the Bburago/Maisto Ferrari Monza and Motormax Pagani Huayra - I just got them and they are great.

What I do want to say is this: You have a fantastic collection, and the way you display them is beautiful! It's great to have a hobby, and I admire you for doing what you do. Wow, what an awesome collection that is super cool! I remember when I started collecting diecast and models, I started off having a stash in the corner of my room growing up as a kid leading to a bookshelf leading to display case. To this day I don't display a car without it in a case. Keep up the awesome collection!

I am really impressed with the stands that cars sit on!! Beautiful collection sir! Also really impressed and enjoyed that you went through every car with some facts here and there. I'm not much of a Ferrari guy but I've always loved the looks of the Maranellos.
Fantastic collection, well done. One of my rarest models is my purple 1/12 Diablo SE30 from APM. Use to have a man orange standard Diablo but upgraded when the SE30 was built

Your car collection is superb, as much as how you display them. Can you show/talk more about the cabinets you use & the lighting system in there? Del? Bluethooth? These are way better than the usual Bertby Ikea cabinets (which I currently have). Will look into your channel in case you already have. Thanks.

Nice thing about collecting higher end cars though is they tend to retain or increase in value over time. Thanks for the tour, definitely a couple more cars on my wish list now haha
Very true! I have a lot of models that are worth a lot more now than when I bought them. I figure they are an investment, so when it is time to sell the collection, I will do quite well.

This is really cool! I'm more of a 1/64 scale guy, but the details on these is amazing.
Also, dusting these must be quite a chore!
No dusting needed, they are all behind glass in sealed cabinets

I look forward to the future and of things to come. I'm beginning to alter my focus in the diecast world to stop my need to purchase anything I deem "cool." Although that entire room is a must.
That's why I had to re focus years ago. I would buy anything I liked, from supercars to F1, LeMans, rally, American muscle, drag cars, anything that looked cool, but this just ended up with a collection so massive, it was very hard to deal with. Pick what you like and focus on that, it is easier that way
