I had the honor of seeing black dahlia at heavy mtl back in 2018, Trevor's energy on stage was unparalleled.. After the show i met up with Drummer Alan Cassidy, we hung out and trevor walked by.. His energy was just as amazing as it was on stage.. Rip trevor, the entire metal community felt this loss🖤
@@johnlopez5849 Yeah he is. He's not in a band but he has been the drummer on a few albums for bands over the last few years. Example.. Battlecross album War of Will and the super group Serpentine Domain had an album in 2016
After all these years, still absolute banger! Seeing this made me tear up, i found miasma when I was 15, now I’m 32! Thanks for all the great shows and memories! Trevor and black dahlia murder forever 🙌🏽🔥😭
Fuck. Shannon is just flawless every time. I wonder if he even plays to a click. I bet he is just THAT accurate. Built in metronome. Alan Cassidy has some huge shoes to fill. And I must say he is doing a damn good job. I just love these guys and everything they are about. Proof that you can be happy and still be into metal.
I know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a method to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot the password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
you need at least 4 guitarists to get all the layers in there, so live when they only have 2 they kinda have to fudge it, like here just went with the 1 lead, and it sounded kinda funky. so maybe live they figure eh screw it on to the next one. now that they have Brandon and Ryan though it would be sick to hear the dueling leads at the end
There's an argument for TBDM as the GOAT death metal band, not a single bad album and always pushing the limits of melodic death metal combined with technical ability, every musician in this group has always been a technical monster.
Such a good band. Trevor may he rest in peace had some of the most profound and meaningful lyrics in the entire metal sphere. Brian has always been a monster rhythm guitar player and songwriter. Probably one the best at his craft, but maybe a bit overlooked by normies because the lead guitarists in the band have been phenomenal. Knight and Ellis especially. I always felt like TBDM was a spiritual successor to Megadeth and taking that extreme metal to another level, but keeping the melodic lead guitar and thrash elements. As a huge fan of both bands I see and hear a lot of similarities.
The best drummer on board ever.. sorry i love Alan, but this machine is just shooting and blasting like a tight machine gun without too much groovy shit.. this is my fav band, so it means a lot. Love this shit. No cymbals orgie, just what he needs to suit this music
@@mikica473I think in one of the documentaries Trevor said that he was just tired of touring and didn’t want to live that kind of lifestyle anymore. Happens a lot, most people think that touring is great all the time but it’s taken it’s toll on a few members of TBDM.
RIP Trevor, one of the coolest guys I had the pleasure of talking too, seen these guys 4 times in Vancouver BC, every show was a fuckin rager!!! Forever a TBDM fan!!!!
The intro riff sounded different to me. For some reason, I always thought the first measure was the first 6 notes 2x, and the second measure was the first 6 notes, plus a new 6-note progression that went higher. But, I went back and listened to the album track, and it's the same as he's playing here. I don't understand how I've misheard it all these years.
