I'm so happy to see LFM promoted here! They really are doing a great effort. I so far raced a couple of their races and both were a great experience. I'd love for Kunos to hire this guys to run the competitive

I imagine it's a question of costs and time for developers, but it's frustrating titles don't have established systems for ranked racing. It's the only sim I still play on triples. I love VR, but in ACC it's just not possible to make it look decent enough for comfort and immersion. Tho on monitors it's the best looking sim on the market.
Can confirm, running a 3080, 11900k and 32 gb ram, I can make it look okayish, but it still won’t hold a constant 90 fps. iRacing is leaps ahead in terms of VR optimization.
The license requirement on LFM is a great idea. I just started with ACC multiplayer and safety rating is 65.. need to work up to 70 to even qualify to attempt the LFM license!
Dave, did you notice that BMW you were battling with take out the Porsche again about a lap after. I saw it on your rear view, but looked like the Porsche had got the move done into last chicane. I was hoping you would see it and review at end of vid!
Got the Game for a long time and thought all the time driving it online is always a wreckfest, but after my first run i was positively surprised. Makes more fun then Iracing at the moment. The guys from Iracing can learn a lot from that Sim (especially the tracklimit solution and starting and safteyrating procedure) to make the gentlemen drivers not upset in so much races... The behavior of to many drivers in iracing is simply intolerable and Iracing is doing nothing against it. So for me is the target to get the saftey rating to run my seven laps and start at Low Fuel Motorsport on ACC. But again a nice and entertaining Vid. Thank you Dave. Cheers Frank
LFM is the best experience till now. 90% of my races went well. The other 10% were racing incidents and happens to all of us. Mostly amateur T1 crashes are past time. Mostly People behave professional but still competitive. So yeah 100% LFM for me. You won’t regret if something is: MADE IN GERMANY 🏁💯
Another great thing about LFM is the reporting system, it's really easy to report someone and the guys respond within a few days. Really helps to keep things clean, this is the biggest difference between simgrid which has zero penalties for driving like a twat. Also you need an SR higher than 4 to enter the longer races so there is an incentive to keep clean.
Hi Dave from snowing Calgary Alberta Canada! Been a subscriber for two years now and watch every race and many two or three times. I race ACC (console) and am ready to go PC. LFM looks amazing and I’m thinking I will go ACC instead of iRacing. Im hardcore GT3 and am hoping ACC with add one more class of sports cars above GT3 at some point soon. Love all your stuff Dave…anyhow..gotta go “get my finger out” take care buddy!!
You loose air from the tires from hard hits usually, it can happen multiple times, essentially depending on how hard you hit some stuff. From watching, I suspected you were loosing pressure mostly from 130R (turn 15) and sometimes on the exit of turn 9. The tires also hane different sensitivity to the hit and loosing air depending on their pressure also, meaning a tire at ideal pressure (around 27.5) will be less keen to loose pressure then a tire at 26.0 or lower.
I'm a Boat driver (well I was before the update and an upcoming 12hr race that forced a change) and I feel the same about all the LHD cars lmao. The M4 is super weird when I get into it. The Boat is a proper handful now after the update, it's very lively in the rear. Love all the new content for ACC Dave, and someone with the profile such as yourself, especially that in the iracing community highlighting these communities in ACC really is very positive for sim racing as a whole.
I like league racing more on acc but done a few races on LFM. If you race a bit earlier it use usually 3-4 splits which makes it even better. Btw that BMW in the beginning that was so quick is an esports pro. Think he starts last on purpose for training overtakes or something.
Echoing comments below - this is the piece of ACC missing so far. Brilliant to see this coming in and certainly hope Kunos support it. I've only been involved in iRacing for 6 months or so and for mine rate ACC as a much better driving experience (and the sound and graphics are amazing). I'll be looking into this, thanks Dave.
Looks very interesting Dave. I still haven't driven ACC much, well in fact I haven't driven anything much recently. I am assured by the Mrs that everything is done round the house that needed doing. Yeah right, I've heard that one before! 🙄 Keep them coming.
Your post-race reviews are really good Dave, all the meat with little o the fat. Nice review of LFM, I gotta give it a whirl once my ankle has healed and I'm on top of the new ACC physics model. You're a great watch on YT!
Looks awesome! I just wish it performed better in VR. The LFM thing is very cool though. Of course, it's a little easier to set up a license and match-making system when there are only 2 classes in the sim. iRacing really needs to go to an iR per car formula.
It looks like they have already increased the licence requirements. A minimum SA of 80 just to get on the licence servers, which is fair enough as we all want to see clean racing but you now have to get within 105% of the lap record. 2% doesn't sound much but it's just under 1.9 second per lap less around Zanvoort. Unfortunately beyond my current skill level even if I wanted to enter as a rookie. I wouldn't mind starting at the very bottom and work my way up but I can't even get started yet.

Twas fun seeing you race my only sim I race. Jim is the best option you have for a spotter. The acc one will tell you are clear when you're not. Another thing is to watch out for what I call Red Shirts, just like on Star Trek the red shirts do silly things and end up dead. as far as the air, you keep knocking it out over time. Sometimes it can get to a real puncture and get complete air loss, but I've seen that like once in my whole time on ACC since it was in Beta.
I need to try this.I prefer ACC to iRacing for the actual driving but I am compelled to play iRacing more due to it's stats/career/seasons make up. ACC is just a 'drop in drop out' experience for me at the moment.
I’m a bit the same. I love ACC but need to get back into iRacing for the seasons. RaceRoom has got better since the ranked races, can get quite addictive 👍🏻⭐️
It's like the 15.000th group making a ranking. Instead of all working together, everyone works on his own solution, and after a while they give up because it's a lot of work or money runs out or whatever. I'll sit this out and wait if it gains enough traction. Maybe check it out in half a year's time or so...

This looks good. Maybe i take a look into this. I drive Dirt Rally 2.0 as well and have some issues when i switch from a left hand drive car to a right hand drive. In the most cases i miss the apex when i drive a right hand car and i prefer the left hand cars.

When you say about struggling with the switch between rhd in real life and then lhd in a sim, oddly i don't, however, i do find myself driving a real car now and thinking "jesus christ this is slow" - luckily there are so many cameras where i live, it isn't a difficult problem to manage!
I have the opposite problem, my real life car is a 2014 300bhp Audi S3 with paddle shift and my sim wheel is a Fanatec CSL DD so they both feel very similar which means sometimes I'm in my real life car driving to work or something and suddenly without thinking about it almost go into race mode, I find myself wanting to drop it down a gear and take the racing line. I don't obviously but the urge just suddenly pops into my head without realising because my brain thinks I'm playing ACC.
That BMW probably took the Porsche out after your incident. The Porsche overtook him and right after that he dropped a few places. Good race Dave! LFM looks really good indeed.
A thing that I don't understand is why Kunos don't give an official support to this kind of rating system if every time a thing like LFM appears (Simgrid, SRS, etc) the community is really excited with them. The official ranked system is really bad.
Does anyone know if the lap time for gaining the licence for LFM has been adjusted to take into account the latest ACC patch? The devs have said that lap times will be slower tha n pre-patch. The max target time is 01:49.256 2 Hungaroring, the best I can manage currently is 01:49.662 lol
Please please please be a competitor to iRacing! It needs the competition they have no pressure to change anything. I have been on iRacing for two years now , spent so much money which is even worse with Aussie conversation rate. SR system is absolute BS and the boiler plate responses for protests and then saying they are all racing incidents kills me. And because I've invested so much money into the system I can't just leave it.
To be clear there's things I love about iRacing, I actually like the IR ranking system when you are not taken out and lose 70+ IR and love I can use my own custom livery even though it's a 3rd party app
The SA requirement is fine I think, just means you are repeatedly clean. The speed of the 7 laps can be tough. I'm not the fastest but I'm clean and consistent.
iRacing rating system is great in that it forces people to behave for the most part...but the entire hang back, build rating, ect imo totally breeds timid racers who sheet themselves first chance with drama or issue on track....i ignore the ratings entirely and just race...what i like about acc is how accessible it is and the HITboxes in that the netcode seems better
This looks really interesting, but when i signed up i need to fill in a 3-letter shortname, I'm probably just slow but what am I supposed to tick in there? no matter what i type in the box it says wrong...
My problem with ACC always has been that even in the most strict of leagues, there isn't that last wall of "you better race with sportsmanship or else". It is so easy to just start up a new profile and essentially erase your previous online racing identity. With iRacing, for better or for worse, with how invested you get into the service (both in a monetary and enjoyment way), it very much deters bad behavior outside of the rookie class series. No one wants to lose their account that has $$$ amount of content and iRating on. There's also the fact that in iRacing, there is no external website you have to deal with (I mean you CAN use the iRacing website but pretty much everyone I know that uses the service uses the launcher now). You just launch iRacing and there are always races going on. I also trust iRacing to not drastically change how they do things versus this service in the video. Who knows who runs it and how they might treat individuals in the future. I like that if iRacing fucks up and people vote with their wallets, they will do what their consumers worth where as a service like LFM can do whatever they want regardless if their user base likes it.
IRacing will never be worried till ACC cleans up their online wreckfest. Not everyone has time to join a league and race when they say. You have carefully thought out race placement and car numbering. I tried to go back into ACC after update, the wrecks just looks better. That is not why im there i am there to race cleanly and that is non existent in ACC unless you like racing their AI.
Aggression begets aggression. Rightly so, to a degree. But Mr. Aggression Reinhardt took it too far entering the front straight right after your encounter. Took out M. Bert and sent him to the wall after Bert took the position. As for right hand drive. It's why you don't want me visiting your country. Not only the wrong side of the car, but cars on the wrong side of the road. Look out...
crossing roads in the UK is scary! I have legit looked the wrong way down one way streets, only to realize at the last moment that I have to look the other way (as a car is about to pass by...)
I really want to love ACC.. but the handling of cars compared to iracing just feels stiff and they rattle like there's a bag of screws in the trunk.. also doesnt run at all in VR unless i set the settings to all low (with a RTX 3080)... so just better FFB doesnt pursuade me..
@@nielshalferkamps7491 What settings are you using? I have a G2, you should set steamvr at 100% per eye and adjust the sampling in game. I only have a 5700 xt so I have in game sampling at 75% and can get 60FPS at high settings for antialiasing and shadows. Looks great. With your 3080 you should be able to get 90FPS at most settings set on high or epic. Lower things like post processing, foliage etc.
Lmao i avoid Right hand sided cars like the plague for just that reason. I seem to lose my ability to keep the width and positioning of the car in mind.

I cant tell u the answer as i dont have VR but are u using the image scaling option on the Nvidia Control Panel as this will help

LFM now has over 38K users now. What a difference and growing so fast.

By class IR is what is needed. Just because you can drive quickly in a GT3 doesn’t always translate to quick in a Radical or TCR

Exactly why I do not want to sink into it instead od iRacing- LFM could be dead in about year or so… iRacing would still be having your data.

I did feel that Dave but I now use centered driver in all sims where possible makes the transition easier between cars. Great to see you playing ACC

Your tyre pressures were actually low. You generally want to be between 27.5 and 27.8 psi.
Wrong, after a recent update they actually want to be between 27.2 and 27.5

@@StevePhoenix they changed tyres in 2020 update , this lowered the optimum performance. You can read David Perel talk about it on his website.
@@Paul_85- Aris has explicitly said the optimum pressures are 27.5 to 27.8. Even on the CDA site they claim it's between 27.3 to 27.8.

iRacing rating system is great in that it forces people to behave for the most part...but the entire hang back, build rating, ect imo totally breeds timid racers who sheet themselves first chance with drama or issue on track....i ignore the ratings entirely and just race...what i like about acc is how accessible it is and the HITboxes in that the netcode seems better

I've defected to ACC in the last week. I feel much more confident and consistent with ACC than iRacing.
I like how ACC become better and better, however in vr ACC is too blurry, so I kinda regret buying it anyway
Did you try reshade already. Makes it much more crispy. Can't image acc without reshade in vr

My problem with ACC always has been that even in the most strict of leagues, there isn't that last wall of "you better race with sportsmanship or else". It is so easy to just start up a new profile and essentially erase your previous online racing identity. With iRacing, for better or for worse, with how invested you get into the service (both in a monetary and enjoyment way), it very much deters bad behavior outside of the rookie class series. No one wants to lose their account that has $$$ amount of content and iRating on.
There's also the fact that in iRacing, there is no external website you have to deal with (I mean you CAN use the iRacing website but pretty much everyone I know that uses the service uses the launcher now). You just launch iRacing and there are always races going on. I also trust iRacing to not drastically change how they do things versus this service in the video. Who knows who runs it and how they might treat individuals in the future. I like that if iRacing fucks up and people vote with their wallets, they will do what their consumers worth where as a service like LFM can do whatever they want regardless if their user base likes it.

ACC is actually better in every aspect than iRacing....except for the online bit. Looks like LFM solves that issue!
saying "iracing be worried" in the thumbnail wont mean a lot if its GT3. because iracing main thing atm is NASCAR and oval racing.
IRacing will never be worried till ACC cleans up their online wreckfest. Not everyone has time to join a league and race when they say. You have carefully thought out race placement and car numbering. I tried to go back into ACC after update, the wrecks just looks better. That is not why im there i am there to race cleanly and that is non existent in ACC unless you like racing their AI.

crossing roads in the UK is scary! I have legit looked the wrong way down one way streets, only to realize at the last moment that I have to look the other way (as a car is about to pass by...)

I really want to love ACC.. but the handling of cars compared to iracing just feels stiff and they rattle like there's a bag of screws in the trunk.. also doesnt run at all in VR unless i set the settings to all low (with a RTX 3080)... so just better FFB doesnt pursuade me..

@@nielshalferkamps7491 What settings are you using? I have a G2, you should set steamvr at 100% per eye and adjust the sampling in game. I only have a 5700 xt so I have in game sampling at 75% and can get 60FPS at high settings for antialiasing and shadows. Looks great. With your 3080 you should be able to get 90FPS at most settings set on high or epic. Lower things like post processing, foliage etc.

Lmao i avoid Right hand sided cars like the plague for just that reason. I seem to lose my ability to keep the width and positioning of the car in mind.
