I mean you were scrapping with a C-license 3.7k driver - the answer is right there in the figures :D Also, his one-trick pony was lunging. You were pretty much faster everywhere else. His trick was to try and dive-bomb... but legally, and subtly as possible.
Elias is a maniac. No wonder that he has only a C-Rating.

i think they should do a version of the 4x system from the nascar/oval races... basically allow multiple cars to touch bumpers at the same time as long as none of the cars are damaged or compromised from the contact however it should only be active for the higher class races sense your expected to be a clean and respectful driver

Loved the Race Dave. I would have been a total wreck and soaking wet from sweat !!! I ran practice here last night, and I tried "trohpiAi, to try and help me out. I got within a two second (1:52) or so of your time. I may get brave and actually try a race. However it's totally different when other people are on the track..
Enjoyed that race, did not do my cleanest race but fun nonetheless. Better luck next time Dave ;)

The Incident System is shit in my opinion. Penaltys way to high, rewards so small. All the 4x for light touches Arena mental. Ist outdated.

I could relate to the "Dumbo" comment. Once I fall out with the rhythm of the race, I drive like the absolute crap..takes some real discipline to get back and stop being behind the 8 ball. (Granted, I am nowhere near your iRating..my opposition likes to selfdestruct (1.3k iR...))
Amazing race Dave. I wish they would change the rules for making contact when you're not at fault. there are some crazy drivers in the Porsche Series. Dave if you ever get the time can you show the old guys like myself how to get faster. we do love having good race lol Old Guys Rule

I’m just starting with iRacing coming from ACC and it’d be great if you could do a video showing you graphic settings
The stutters have been bad on certain tracks (some more than others) since the last major update. I haven’t been able to pin down the cause. I did revert to the old Racelab ui as that seemed to help a bit.
This sort of race goes in the memory bank. IRacing need to address the penalty system so a little door banging is not penalised. How they do that is another matter. Has the net code been improved?

Down below Elias says he didn't do his cleanest race. Based on his safety rating, he doesn't do his cleanest quite often. He's good enough and fast enough, but the late brake dive bomb is his go to, and that gets him in trouble. Methinks he has to develop proper skills. Good race nonetheless.

At 12:30 did he give you that position back? it didn't appear that you had a run out of the corner but he slowed down early to let you by for the next corner.
As a guy who has raced for 30 years and has actually won a championship in a Porsche cup car I can say the 2 don’t translate very well
I get hosed online, but in real life you won’t be within multiple seconds of me…
That’s not being arrogant, just very different things
If only the CUP was simulated like in real life... Thats a shame, real drivers are very critical to the CUP :(

Tough battle there Dave, you did amazing keeping up! Question, your new flag is that the digiflag or ordinary as digi? Im asking because i tried the digi, but the frame was present at all times, but yours the frame is gone when no flag :-) I dont know if you have onedrive on, but try killing it if yes - regarding the stutters
Yes it's digiflag. There is an option to hide when the flag isn't visible 😁

I'm seeing a lot of stutters at the moment, hopefully they patch it soon
I got rid of the stutters with disabling Shader cache, restarting and putting 10gb. 4gb is default. Also check if any sound devices have Inclusive mode on. It needs to be off.
Then doing a refresh of graphic settings in the launcher UI

A lot of pro streamers spit on the cup but what is your take on the current PCup?
I've heard it's not the most realistic, but I always drive the cars which I think are fun 👍
I don't understand why you're able to catch up to him so easily .. the rate that you're catching up seems to be more than just draft. It looks like his throttle is dragging less than 100%

That wasn't the best race craft tho i know the heat of the moment can take over. Rather than work together to catch up with the pack you both spent 4-5 laps overtaking and defending all the time loosing touch with the next group.
