We just started my 18th year of homeschooling and I've learned over the years that you do NOT need to be bound to a curriculum. Part of the joy of homeschooling is the freedom to customize to your family's needs. I'm looking forward to more in this series Chantel!

Love this! I can't believe I'm just finding you now, but I'm so on the same page. Starting my 9th year homeschooling this year and increasingly convinced that I don't need much, if any, curriculum anymore. Thanks for these videos - I look forward to watching the subject-specific ones, too.

I am a reverse planner as well. I love how it shows me what we are consistent with, as well as what we could be focusing more on. Looking forward to this series, Chantel! ❤️

Thank you SO much for doing this Chantel! I have rewatched your previous 'without a curriculum' videos many times, so this is wonderful to have an updated version! Thank you again! X

Awesome video!!! I look forward to this series. I watched your older videos and they helped me feel less freaked out about "unschooling". THUS, I just know these updated ones are going to be awesome!!!!!
God slowly led me to "unschooling" (not radically but an unhurried approach). I had to let go of a lot of fears and my maybe not small "control" issues. BUT, oh it has been so good! I never meshed with curriculum and always felt bad that I would buy them and never used even half of them. So, I am thankful for you and others God has used on my homeschooling journey (this our sixth year).

I’m so happy I watched your video. I was very worried because my daughter is in grade 2 and I don’t have a curriculum I just go with what ever I find.

How much time to work one on one with each child?

I'm considering not using a curriculum for some subjects after this year, particularly science and social studies. We're already doing literature and sign language without any curriculum this year, so we'll see if that continues next year or not.

What ages are your kids… I homeschool all four of my kids and I’m trying to do it a little bit differently with my younger kids who are finishing up their second and third grade years. I like how you’re doing though.

This was great. Thanks for sharing. I’m excited to see how you homeschool without a curriculum. Just subscribed. I also have a channel mainly about homeschooling and it would be fun to be friends and connect here 😊

With your foster children are you gonna supplement what they are learning at public school. Like reading more books or trying to fit their interests in at home.
