I came here from a Voces 8 concert where they mentioned Jonathan Dove. I knew the name from my schooldays and it turns out that I was in the same class at him as school. I remember him using the school desk to practice the finger movements for piano pieces, or maybe he was improvising and could hear what it was supposed to sound like in his head. He used to play at schooI prize days as well. I remember a Bach Toccata and Fugue being on the programme one year. Unfortunately, at the time I couldn't really relate to that kind of music. It's good to see that he's had such success and he comes across as very personable as well.
