Almost every aftermarket performance part companies love their branding. I thought Revo were at least subtle about it. IDK what you're on about there m8. And who doesn't love black aftermarket parts?
"Sleeper status" would have kept the stock brakes (especially since they're perfectly adequate anyway) and either kept the stock wheels and ride height, or went down a size in wheels (more sidewall is better for drag racing anyway). I'm all for making the car handle better first, but after driving my 2017 GTI for a while I honestly feel like the suspension is the last thing that needs to be touched. I'll install some mounts for sure, and tighten up the shifter, but overall handling with the stock wheels and tires is great. I feel like I need to get it on a track before I can even understand what might be beneficial to the car. It handles that good.

You haven`t seen the Alfa Guilia Quadrifoglio`s plastic cover then. With the cover on, the intake tubes looks fantastic! Without engine cover engine is just a black little box

I had a Toyota Echo and they're so light I seriously wanted to drop in a 2ZZ-FE so badly. Would definitely have been more fun than Toyota Celica with the same engine and should be faster. Add on a supercharger and you'd be flying lol.

As is they are. If you don't do anything to the ecu, it doesn't know what to do with the free flowing intake. Most times you end up losing power by just installing the intake kit.
If it's a badly designed factory airbox you're going to get a gain by changing it, if your maf is seeing more air it will put more fuel in (to a point)
I really like the Revo approach. Really feels like they thought it through. Not some fake video like "yeah we just slapped on a huge turbo" but actually a well put together piece of kit.
These VW/Audi engines and gearboxes are built like tanks. They're all turned down considerably to try and meet emissions so there's a lot of untapped potential.
My favourite part of MCM is all the little tips and tricks hidden in the video! I cant be the only one who didn't know the exhaust hanger trick @ 3:43 !
I plan on doing basically the same thing to my 2003 Audi TT 225, so far I have a turbo back exhaust and front mount intercooler, wish I could do it all at once like you guys. Love this build!

Grugger Dugger Hoose What codes are popping up? Are you sure you haven’t noticed any problems driving. Have you tried returning it to stock to see if that fixes things?
Never got told a specific code. It just goes into limp mode after about 20/30 minutes driving. Took the chip off and nothing changed. That was ages ago. The last garage i was in told me nothing, wiped the codes, gave me grief for having a chip (bad idea apparantly) and offered me a remap for 300 notes. Problems were back within a day :(

Rear springs are shot, front right arm is shot, angles are shot, brakes are shot, the mirrors and washer jets decided to give up, it probably has a shattered exhaust, it smokes up a storm AND it sprung an oil leak. It still moves tho! >.>

I don't think most of the mods here are vw approved either... The 5w40 is definitely the way to go for hotter climates and it's also a low ash oil. It's hardly going to cause any problems. Just because an oil isn't approved by a specific manufacturer doesn't mean it can't still exceed their requirements.
- I never said it was the wrong choice, just it was funny they went on about how Castrol is the recommended oil but then used an oil that Castrol does not recommend

Milltek is really one of the best options for the cars they make systems for. I've had their full exhaust on several cars. Always with no resonator, and a milltek high flow cat. Their entire thing is that even without the resonator, they dont drone. None of that headache inducing booming in the cabin when you're on the freeway. If you feather the gas pedal on the freeway you can barely even hear the exhaust even tho it's a 3" downpipe into a 2.5" catback. When you're cruising around town you get a deeper exhaust note, but it's not overly loud unless you floor it and at that point it sounds like you would like a turboback exhaust to sound. With the resonator on, the sound is slightly deeper than stock, but not as loud when you give it the full beans. Only downside is I think they are made to order, so depending on which car you have it can take a few weeks for it to arrive.

I saw you guys put in an upgraded torque mount but no upgraded pendulum mount. I highly suggest upgrading the pendulum mount as it will snap under power one day.
I think it comes with growing up.. it's kinda weird.. "Brutally efficient, comfortable and practical, without a single shred of humor" used to sound horrible. Now I'm like.. yeah.. I could justify that to the wife and still have a wicket fast car.... Apparently German engineering even takes the wife factor into account.
ah the days of my mr2 turbo , cosworths etc was numbered when I bought a mk2 gti as a daily. had a mk3 vr6 , mk4 1.8t , mk5 gti now mk6 gttdi and mk4 r32. and soon as the mk7 gets cheaper im having one. the vw golf , greatest all round car ever made.

Deleted cat going back to a Borla muffler with Techtonic's Tuning 266 camshafts...best sounding car I've driven to date. My current MK6 GTI 2.0 TSI with DSG is a blast to drive, but I still miss the sound of the VR6.

The 5w40 is definitely the way to go for hotter climates and it's also a low ash oil. It's hardly going to cause any problems.
Just because an oil isn't approved by a specific manufacturer doesn't mean it can't still exceed their requirements.

The Castrol edge they used IS VW approved though... Meets VW 502 00/505 00
IntenseVLT Mk7 Golf technically requires 504.00/507.00 oils though

seizedkeyboard they completely upgraded everything turbo wise, exhaust wise, and made this golf r into a true super car honestly but yes changed the fuel pump forsure
They upgraded the battery to stage 2

Milltek is really one of the best options for the cars they make systems for. I've had their full exhaust on several cars. Always with no resonator, and a milltek high flow cat. Their entire thing is that even without the resonator, they dont drone. None of that headache inducing booming in the cabin when you're on the freeway. If you feather the gas pedal on the freeway you can barely even hear the exhaust even tho it's a 3" downpipe into a 2.5" catback. When you're cruising around town you get a deeper exhaust note, but it's not overly loud unless you floor it and at that point it sounds like you would like a turboback exhaust to sound. With the resonator on, the sound is slightly deeper than stock, but not as loud when you give it the full beans. Only downside is I think they are made to order, so depending on which car you have it can take a few weeks for it to arrive.

I saw you guys put in an upgraded torque mount but no upgraded pendulum mount. I highly suggest upgrading the pendulum mount as it will snap under power one day.

Honest question from someone who doesn't know anything about VWs. Does the pendulum mount = rear motor mount?
They probably did do that but didn't include it in the video.

@@BenchyTests I don't think they did, they showed the reinstall of the pendulum mount for a second and it was the stock one.

ah the days of my mr2 turbo , cosworths etc was numbered when I bought a mk2 gti as a daily. had a mk3 vr6 , mk4 1.8t , mk5 gti now mk6 gttdi and mk4 r32. and soon as the mk7 gets cheaper im having one. the vw golf , greatest all round car ever made.
@@69bock69 Had a Windsor Blue, 97' MK3 GTI VR6 with every bolt on you can imagine and it was glorious. Deleted cat going back to a Borla muffler with Techtonic's Tuning 266 camshafts...best sounding car I've driven to date. My current MK6 GTI 2.0 TSI with DSG is a blast to drive, but I still miss the sound of the VR6.
