I do not understand the process of reparation and restitution. It is understood and agreed by the world, including the UN that reparation is owed to Africa and the descendants of African slaves. Yet all of the movement seems to be around asking the "defendant" if we can have reparation, instead of those affected deciding what they want for reparations and restitution and presenting their demands to the corresponding administrations. What do we want?? If they do not agree to pay, then we can take further action, but you cannot ask the criminal for permission to be compensated for the crimes that they have committed and then wait for them to let you know what that compensation will be.
