- Gimnazija Kranj Christmas Concert 2016 - American Night. In sold out Gallus Hall (Cankarjev dom, Slovenia) The Gimnazija Kranj Symphony Orchestra perfomed The Syncopated Clock by Leroy Anderson. Our kids and their friends played this work of art stunningly. The Concert was sold out in record time of 3 minutes (1500 seats). It was magic musical and artistic experience. Maestro Nejc Bečan did again an superiror interpretation of this magnificent work od american cultural and musical heritage. Headmaster: mag. I was three years old when this song was released, and it's the very first song I remember. However, I never knew the title until recently. Now, I feel a sense of completion.

Lovely performance. And you could see everyone having a good time with it, which is partially the point of the whole thing, it's supposed to be a fun piece.

I remember this from 1955 when our Form2 teacher used it to "reward" us.
Excellent performance true to the original. It's nice to hear this music still being performed several generations after it was written. This piece was a famous introduction to a television show in New York for many years and that is where I first heard it.

@@marthahancock7938 Million Dollar Movie (WOR channel 9) used the Tara theme from Gone With the Wind. Syncopated Clock was used as an intro for The Late Show (WCBS channel 2, I think). Love, A Nice Girl From Brooklyn. :-D
Actually LeRoy Anderson did write some nice music and catchy tunes.
