Reporter: ”-Who is the best player you played with?”
”-That is Eric Lindros. I’ve played with Mats and Peter, Mats Sundin and Peter Forsberg, and I believe Peter Forsberg is the best player ever from Sweden, I had the chance to play with Mats Sundin three years in Toronto and they are both fantastic players, but when Lindros was at his peak he was the best player I ever played with.

Intro - Mikael Renberg about Philadelphia.
”-It probably the best years of my career, first year I remember that everthing was so new, playing at big arenas. Back home I was used to 5-6000 people in a sold out arena and here it was 17-18000 every night, some arena even up to even 20.000. I remember that everthing was so new the first year. Then of course I had the privilege to experience playing in a Stanley Cup final, that was the peak of my career.”

Reporter: ”-How close were you to winning in -97?”
”-We weren’t even close, we lost 4-0. We were favourites before the final, we were going to crush Detroit with our physical game, but they had been in the finals two concecutive years before and lost to New Jersey by 4-0, and got experience playing in the finals and we were new to this. I think they were more comfortable in the situation of playing the finals than us and I belive that this experience was tipping the edge for Red Wings.”

@TakingTheFall71 No problem, I met MR a couple of weeks ago and asked him about the reunion. He works as a commentator for SVT(swedens largest tv channel) and the schedule was already set for the junior world championship. He told me that he definitly want to attend the alumni game 2012, but it depends if SVT is willing to make an exception from the contract. Time will tell if he can join his former linemates.

    Video highlights
Reporter: ”-You did play with John Le Clair and Lindros in an line called legion of doom, where did the name come from?”
”-Doomsday legion… my grandmother was religous and thought it was horrific that her grandson would be part of anything with a name like that. It was a player from Montreal that was trades to us from Montreal called Jim Montgomery that thought we always put on such an immense pressure on the opponents in every shift, that we seemed to be everywhere.

@Lengonator No that's fine, thank you =) I just wanted to know what he had to say about Philadelphia after all these years. Hopefully he'll be at the alumni game for the 2012 winter classic.

Eric Lindros actually called me not long ago and when I was attending junior world championship in Buffalo I had an idea of go and visit him in Toronto, but I never found the time. I hope we will meet in the future someday.”

It was so much fun watching the Flyers in that era. Today they are unwatchable. I try my hardest to watch them but I just can't get into it. Such a boring team
