This was my first Battlefield game. I had played the beta when it was out, it didn't do it for me. Eventually my friend had bought the game and recommended it to me, so I bought it as it was relatively old at the time. Then this Intro played through the speakers and I knew I was in for something special. For me, the rest, as they say, is history.
I grew up playing this game with my dad and it would be an hour before dinner, summer 2016 just chilling playing Battlefield 3 on the PS3 or 2 I can't remember but we would have tons of fun in fighter jets blowing up smiley faces into the mountains on the Operation Firestorm map.
2011. The year when I first saw the teaser of the game and the jet demo. I was mindblown by how realistic the lightings were. When I got the game, played with the headphones on, the sound design was awesome as hell. Bullet sounds echoing inside a room was great for that time.
If any dev of battlefield is reading this, you have to understand that the colors and the sounds of the intro made a huge impact on us, its the sound that comes before having a good time playing. The simple menu also very cool. Also bf3 offline gameplay has a place on our hearts because they were very inmersive (like participating in s movie) and less (start shooting everywhere) focused, i personally loved the jet mission. Good luck with the incoming Battlefield, it's okay if it takes a lot of time, we will wait years as long as we feel again like the first day of Battlefield 3.
I was 11yo when I started playing it on my ps3, most enjoyable days of my life. I ruined my exams Coz of this game 🤣🤣🤣 no regrets Tho. Lmao . Best game ever made. I enjoyed it soo muchhh 🔥❤️
Those heavy bass hits at the end are permanently seated into my memory. I could live to be 110 with Alzheimer’s and remember this intro. Truly one of the best FPS games ever made. Sad they don’t do stuff like this anymore
I remember when i was younger, waking up at 4 or 5 in the morning, it's still dark. I sneak out to the living room and turn on the xbox 360 and tv, and load up bf3 for the first time. This intro gives me mad nostalgia.
i remember it like it wad yesterday... (i was only around 6 when this came out) i walked into blockbuster a went to the game section as i had just got a xbox 360 connect and was looking for games to play and picked this game and left for dead 2... Safe to say i always picked these games when i went to blockbuster!
I remember when the game installed on my ps3 and i heard that beginning ratatatata... flashing ea sign, then dice, then frostbite and then dolby digital... and then... battlefield 3
Just think before this we had BC2 and MW2. I think it’s easy to underestimate how much of a game changer BF3 was for FPS games as a whole. I wish DICE were this creative today, sucks that it’s all corporate now…
I had never played a BF before, then one day some kid came to me and asked if i want to buy BF3 from him. His TV was bad and he thought its not worth it. So I got the Premium version for 30€ just a few months after release. One of the best deals of my life
Still remember when playing Battlefield 2 or Battlefield 2142, you watch the 2 minute intro that give you overview what are you gonna face in the game? An intro that act like a tutorial for the game? I miss that kind of intro :(
My favorite game out of the whole bf siries is BF3 . Also, when I was little I used to run away from when it said frostbite2 bc I thought that the logo was scary so I would run faster than sonic the hedgehog. Now I think that it is badass😎 from what I remember the sounds kinda made the beginning credits unsettling.
You gotta love those glitching effects

Yup, 8 years later, still sends chills down my spine
I know right? So badass
11 years later. Yup, still does things to me
The music when the game starts up sends chills down my spine every time.
I love the sound of the low and distorted voice in the beginning of the logo intro, it sounds so creepy but it’s cool

Bad Company and BF2 in general for me :D
Dice really knows how to hype you up for their game
They pay people top dollar to do that
A shame how far they've fallen.
2042 never played never will

listening to this intro with headphones on genuinely gets your heart pumping, even the part at the very start.
I wish if Dice would Remaster this game and release it along with the next battlefield game as a bundle
This is one of best intro of FPS games.
Battlefield 3 > Battlefield 4 :(
true
Battlefield 3 might have not had the setbacks BF4 had but at its current state it's one of the best battlefields
+RoKaX89 BF3 is better in some things and worse in other, but BF3 and BF4 are the best FPS on playstation. Absolutely
their both great games.
Battlefield 3's campign is more realistic but the intro for Battlefield 4 is the best.
World best game for me and still playing.
DICE really knew they had something special there, and they were right. What a great game for it's time.
This game’s aura was absolutely unmatched. Grit, graphics, glory.
Why does everyone “miss” this game? It’s not like it disappeared. You can still fucking play it. Hell, I was playing it 2 hours ago.
Some moved on and it's not like any would contest against some who played this for over 10 years
Bro has seen the horrors of war that’s why he just walking like he don’t care
That EA/DICE intro in the very beginning used to be so hype!
Goosebumps everytime.
That radio voice! Man that's some good shit!

Truly masterpiece, even after 11 years, this intro looks great!
god the intros for 3 and 4 are fucking amazing
The best opening cinematice I've ever seen in a video game. EVER!
The nostalgia from playing this for the first times as a lil kid is crazy
One of the best battlefield intro ever, also happy 10 years anniversary Battlefield 3.

This intro is quite creepy and eerie as it shows how everyone is running or racing into the gloom of modern hell of war. :/
The best war game ever released.
I remember when the game installed on my ps3 and i heard that beginning ratatatata... flashing ea sign, then dice, then frostbite and then dolby digital... and then... battlefield 3
Still the most hyped up intro ever
*casually walking through the warzone*
*Sergeant Mike runs by* "HURRY YOUR ASS UP PRIVATE"
Good memories of a much simpler time in my life anyway. I was terrible at battlefield but always had fun playing.

The frostbite engine
No matter if there's a firefight wreaking havok around, or if there are 3 stolen nuclear devices at stake, do as Johnnie said: "Keep Walking".
