      @@GrewalsGarage welcome!
      If possible, please make a video on the left hand switch wiring, which you did after cutting the connector and replacing with the regular 9 pin connector.

    Thanks for the video! IMO the stock switches look better. The SM switches look out of proportion and color don’t work.

      Even the new INT/GT models will have these SM switches going forward, so you might be stuck with these out of proportion switches if your planning on getting one of those bikes.

    Hi Veer, thanks for sharing this. I'm looking to swap switches on my 2019 Interceptor as well - the 2023+ models have rotary switches by default - the info button from the super meteor LH switch is deleted, which has no use on the Interceptor.
    Two questions:
    1. What becomes of the hand brake switch cable? - seen dangling disconnected at 12:58
    2. How to wire in the hazard switch?

      @ShashankKR 3 месяца назад +1

      Hi, I've done this on my 2019 Interceptor as well.
      1. The dangling ends needs to be connected to the front brake switch which is below the master cylinder.
      2. You'll need to get the hazard flasher unit and wire it accordingly (part number RAC00135/B). You can use the Meteor 350's wiring diagram as reference.

      thanks for the reply @ShashankKR
      @srinivaskirthy thanks for watching you can also use the same aftermarket hazard flasher unit that is available for classic model. The wiring process will be same. I have used one on my classic 500. Instead of the switch that comes with the hazard, you will have to hard wire with the super meteor switch.

    hi buddy its a informative vdo..i hv question like is it possible if i put the stock switch wire in to the new switch...like alteration of wire from old switch to new switch ??

    • @GrewalsGarage
      @GrewalsGarage  2 месяца назад +1

      thanks for watching, yes you can reuse the stock switch wires but the length will be compromised when you do a full left to right turn. You will have to solder the wires for a good connection. If your also running a handlebar raiser then length can be an issue, I would recommend swapping the connects for a secure connection to avoid any short circuits. Hope this helps!

    Nice tidy job! How are you finding your upgraded switches on the GT. I am on the fence about pullling the trigger. Not sure how they would work with winter gloves :)

    • @GrewalsGarage
      @GrewalsGarage  4 месяца назад

      Thanks for watching @GarethLa GT650 switches upgrade I did definitely turns heads but the only thing bugs me is the turn signal thump slide which is tiny and clicks are so close to another its hard to find the neutral sometimes specially with gloves on. It will definitely take some time to get used to those, however the push buttons work fantastic and gives it minimal clean look. I would definitely think twice if you want these with winter gloves.
      Tbh, I love these INT650 switch upgrade quality more than I liked what I did on the GT650, I just wish that turn signal slide had a better mechanism.

      @@GrewalsGarage Thanks, you have confirmed my fear. I ride mostly cold with thicker gloves. You may very well have convinced me to seek out some super meteor switches. They look fantastic on the INT and huge improvement on the stock plastic ones which I am looking forward to replacing

      Oh yes two thumps up for these super meteor switches, they will make your bike feel like a premium version.

      Do you think the gt switches could be wired to work with the info switch / hazards since they have more buttons ? Asking for my bike, have a hunter and it has the same buttons as super meteor

    • @GrewalsGarage
      @GrewalsGarage  4 месяца назад +1

      @japrdue I’m afraid I’m not understanding the question. GT/INT650 switches have different buttons than what’s on super meteor or hunter. The info switch on the super meteor is a scroll switch means its mechanism is a press to change the info on the cluster unlike like a push/hold switch which you need press again to turn off. The info switch has a spring mechanism which can’t be held after pressing, you will have to keep pressing to scroll thru the information. Hope this answers or lmk if you were asking something else?
