fairly accurate i would say, yes. This is a great album indeed. Would love to see, hear more of this type of Leppard music as well. This was them being honest and coming from within. A little more rawness as well comes from these songs and Ricks drum kit. Great stuff! I saw them 3 times on the slang tour, it was great.
I say Sparkle Lounge is X meets Slang...cuz it was edgier, but the production was similar to X's. I think if X had a few more rockers like Torn to Shreds and such, it would have been better...plus they choose poor singles sometimes. Why "Now?" Why not Torn to Shreds? But either way, while X was poppy, Slang really was a special thing that is somewhat revisited in Sparkle Lounge.
