Random Madness killed my family to test the gore physics
I admire the lengths he is going to include his fans. Truly a community man and a great RUclipsr
the last thing they heard: the blood splatter is really nice and stays for a long time. it seems to be randomly generated, which is very nice. lets test how many points of dismemberment there are.
What rating do you think he gave the gore physics for your family’s massacre?
Your family is an invading Mongol army?
However, there are issues
there is a charm in believe that increases the blood but nonetheless while it has mild gore the blood being actual drops in the environment makes it amazing
Charm of Carnage
this game's gore would be even better if dismemberment was way more common
Is there dismemberment? I haven't come across it yet
@@RandomMadnessChannel later in the game you get a mechanic that lets you "terrify" enemies and make them flee in horror by brutalizing one of their own, usually by dismemberment
otherwise i cant quite remember, its been a few years since ive played
does the pc port run well? might try it again
@@RandomMadnessChannelYes, you can cut the arm off some enemies with a special move and later on in the game you unlock like a "Berserk" mode that lets you decapitate someone
@@eduardogaleano4298 you mean the ''heavenly strike techinque'''...yeah you can severe a mongol or a ronin's arm, by doing that...if they appear to be in a critical state
@@RandomMadnessChannel i believe it's just a few execution animations as a few comments below me have stated, which is a shame. hopefully a sequel will change this,i've always wanted a game that makes me feel like the bride in kill bill. shadow warrior comes close but there aren't enough human enemies for my liking
So glad to finally have this on PC. Took so long!
That announcement was a very pleasant surprise at the time
It's an awesome game. Had a heap of fun with it on PS4.
Just wanted to mention that as far as i could see the game did have dismemberment, therea finishers that let u cut off your enemy's head, i think its one of the finishers from behid, its not too flashy just a clean cut, but it looms prettt nice and satisfying, especially that the enemy slowly falls after it instead of falling immidiately
I'm desperately hoping for a mod that makes it persistent, or at least last a bit longer
Wish there was a ragdoll physics.
Are there none? That's a bit disappointing. Having fixed animations only is just a lot less satisfying and immersive :/
@@lampenpamFor some reason yeah there isn't, completely canned animations.
The animations aren't bad at all, but they clip through the environment constantly.
@lampenpam absolutely none that I saw. There is some rough "adaptation" in some instances but there are pretty much no character physics that I saw
So glad this is finally on pc, played on the ps4 and man it was so good, hope to see some sort of mods for it
There is a cool gory game coming out called Gladio Mori, it’s only in beta currently but it has some interesting blood spilling mechanics and cool non dismembering functions too.
I did come across it, will need to have a look
there is a charm that gives more blood and dismemberment but this is near to the end of the game.
edit: the charm is only obtainable in new game+ and is called the charm of carnage. there is also a stance that is obtained after killing 7 mongols or ronins without taking damage that allows your to brutalise 3 opponents usually with some dismemberment.
Charm of Carnage does not increase dismemberment though. Only give more blood.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen particle-based blood effects/physics in a game before, so it has that going for it. The blood pooling looks too watery for my taste, and there isn’t enough gore in the game, you just can take off forearms and heads. Overall it’s really solid though
Borderlands 2 used Nvidia PhysX as an optional effect for blood. It was jank but looked pretty cool with it being actual 3D, would run down walls, hills and all. Postal 2 used texture based dynamic blood that did something similar. There is also this game on PS2 (i've got videos of it on my channel) called Cold Winter that used 3D geometric blood and a very gory game, probably the most so on the console. Been trying to get Valentine to review it for years lol.
Oh and the latest Hitman games also uses a system like this which he does have a video on his channel! It looks really good.
overgrowth's blood is completely particle based, and killing floor 2 has a really good physx blood implementation, it's a little too viscous looking but otherwise really well done
Mods will definitely make it look better

Ohhhh sheeet here we gooooo
goat
Try the Charm of Carnage, its made available once New Game+ is unlocked
It's a great game but I really wish they had dynamic dismemberment. You just get abilities that cut off hands or heads
Or even just activation with a regular swing if you hit the sweet spot. But yes, the game is kind of asking for a dynamic dismeberment system
Hopefully now that it's on PC, someone can start making some gore mods.
Unlikely, its their own engine.
Meaning there is no way to unless we have dev tools.
No dismemberment? That's disappointing...
There is later on in the game you can cut off arms and heads
theres gonna be mods for additonal dismemberment for sure the modders are already active.
@@STRYKER1467 Im counting on it
there is later, the devs didn't want ultra violence but rather save gore meaningful moments such as the slaughter strikes where you kill a commander by cutting off his head as well as key abilities such as heavenly strike or ghost stance
Interesting
I bought this game yesterday, started downloading and was like 10 gigs into the download when a huge storm blew through and knocked out our power and internet. Power is back this morning but internet is still out so I cant play it!
Wish you luck 🤞
dismemberment is also present in the game
Yep, unlocked a finisher that allows for arms to come off. Still need to unlock something for the heads
@@RandomMadnessChannel progress in story for that
How long do the blood stay?
Not very long, probably 20-30 secs or so
Interesting... 🤔
could you do a gore review for resident evil 4 ?
I did a demonstration and a stream of the demo at the time, unfortunately it is a downgrade from the RE2 remake so personally I'll pass on going in depth on that

Is there dismemberment?
Sometimes, but not very often.
@@captaineierstock2278It's only with certain skills.
One takes off an arm if you finish with it, another is a group intimidation that decapitates a leader.
haya!!
