Starro deserves to go back home. Would've been a better ending for him.
My own HISHE was that when Polka-dot man finally has his time to shine, he aims at the part of Starro that actually makes sense. It annoyed me that he wasted his power by basically giving Starro's leg a paper cut instead of obliterating its eye.
I guess it depends on how high he can project them. Objects can travel farther perpendicular to the ground rather than travelling upwards. I know I'm interjecting real world science into it, but that's the only thing I could come up with.
I’ve played enough Zelda games to know: always shoot the eyes!
You also gotta remember that he wasn't seeing Starro. He was seeing an image of his mother, and it seemed like he was trying to knock her down. So Polka wasn't really thinking about attacking Starro, but attacking his mother.

I was disappointed there wasn't a reference to them not trying to protect their faces through the entire battle.
I guess they got desperate with the lack of plot holes
I need to do what they used to do and go scene by scene instead of cutting it off early
Why would they?? The first brood of them tried and failed to attach and died off quickly after. The following broods are shot away from them, as they are either close to or behind Starfish.
Sure they're still at risk, but someone would mention it's weird they kept protecting their face despite never getting attacked by them again if they had gone the other way on that, especially with Polka-Dot Man and Bloodsport not having any face protection at hand, it would look weird while they're going for cool at that point. Of course they could have let them be attacked again to make it less weird, but that would be less interesting than them fighting the Star-Crossed/zombies and Starfish
Well, the government already knows who they are. It’s over. They don’t need to cover their faces.

@Zachary Erickson I mean the cartoons had him as early as the 1967/1968 cartoon, Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure and his first feature-length picture appearance was a cameo in the 2008 animated film, Justice League: The New Frontier. He also appeared in the 2012 Australian theme park ride, Justice League: Alien Invasion 3D and his video game debut was the 2012 game, Batman: The Brave and the Bold - The Videogame (he also appeared in the B:TatB cartoon said game is based on of course. It was, as Bat-Mite said, "a tribute to the silver age of comics", though it was _way_ better than the Adam West show).
