that was painfull to hear lol, my grandad had everything on the farm laggered in grease and was always lamenting about keeping things greased and its always stuck in my head since my youth
you all probably dont care at all but does anybody know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
Always enjoyed forage chopping when I worked with my dad in the early 1970's. We chopped about 200,000 tons of Corn and Alfalfa per year with two John Deere #38 pull types and a new (back then) monster John Deere three row self propelled. Boy haven't times changed. Love the videos. Til next time; Salute!
@@bigtractorpower just a couple years later it was a cabbed 9700 there was also a side dumping wagon that dumped into the old ford trucks with gehl wagon boxes set on them was quite a sight back in the day
Great machinery and sure glad to see the younger generation running the equipment and how many cow's do they milk and I can't wait to see more videos like this I have always wanted to drive one of those self propelled choppers and I think they are a very beautiful machine and what does the I stand for after the numbers hope to see more thank you and stay safe
I am not sure how many cows they milk. It is the largest dairy farm in Kentucky. They run two of these 9600i choppers. The I in 9600i stands for intelligent. I have a spec video on the chopper posted at ruclips.net/video/rbQ6VC3ROug/видео.html
13 May 2020...depressing...this shows hay being harvested...I look at my acreage (Chenango County, NY) and see a light coat of SNOW and 27 degrees (F)! Yesterday was 29 degrees. :-((
BTP, I normally don’t comment on operations. they are there, and I’m not. A couple tubes of grease is a lot cheaper than an overhaul of the front end loader.
Great to see how farming operations are carried out in different parts of the world . Compared to Here in the UK The 8245R looks a big cumbersome tractor! We’re used to seeing 6250R tractors which are similar horsepower but are a lot more Compact and nimble. Interesting to see how other parts of the world do things differently. Horses for courses I guess!
The Ag bags I saw in use were in the late 90’s but they have been around for a while. They work well but take up space. They are air fought so there is no spoilage.
I don’t know. They all seem very good and powerful. I have filmed Claas, Deere, Krone and New Holland. They all move a bunch of crop in a hurry. I do like the Krone Easy Collect header for corn.
bigtractorpower the first self propelled harvester I got to see was at the Ohio Farm Science Review in the late 70’s. It was a Caterpillar powered New Holland in I’m guessing the 250-300 hp range. It was set up to chop corn silage with a 6 row head and entered the field pulling a Badger all metal forage wagon. It made it about 60 feet into its first pass and blew the back wall of the forage wagon onto the ground.
I have filmed at this farm for 10 years. They get 7 cuttings a year. This is the way they have always done it. They seem to be successful in the way they produce their feed. They are the largest dairy in the state of Kentucky.
Yes 900 to 1,100 ho is getting to be the top end. 50 years ago 175 to 225 hp was a big chopper. The 9600 is the entry level 9000 chopper. I made a spec video on the 9600i that is posted at ruclips.net/video/rbQ6VC3ROug/видео.html
Brings back memories! That loader guy sure needs to be introduced to a grease gun, squeaky!
Don't he!!! That would drive me crazy listening to that
that was painfull to hear lol, my grandad had everything on the farm laggered in grease and was always lamenting about keeping things greased and its always stuck in my head since my youth
Used machinery often squeaks, even when well greased. Hard to tell if he neglected the greasing maintenance.
@@whiterazer1 That loader cant be that old "used"

Thank you for all the work you do so I can have my glass of milk.
It’s a big process to make hay and corn feed.
That loader at the end of the video was screaming for a tube of grease
That's what I thought. Like fingernails on a chalkboard
Great video but dear god it’s painful to listen to that loader little maintenance goes a LONG way

This is what I wish I was doing, working outside in the sunshine and fresh air.
I always enjoy your videos. I love watching agricultural machinery in action.
15:00...hey, somebody greased those pivot points on that front end loader!!!
Great video. The squeaky front end loader made me chuckle.
Nothing like the smell of fresh cut hay
😁👍👍
I love farming .it is a good life to live.it is hard work.but at the end of the day. You know you have done something
From listening to you and your voice inside the cab of the harvester sounded like it was pretty loud in there
👍👍 The big boss loved it 😁
The next big forage video is uploading now. Taking a little longer than expected.
Thank you. That's quite an operation
It is a neat to farm to visit. They have dairy and grain. Always lots of interesting machines to see.
@@bigtractorpower Is it a single family farm operation? We truly enjoy your videos.
Yes it is family that has farmed since the 1800’s in the same place.
@@bigtractorpower That's good stuff. Thanks so much for your work with all this.
I love chopping videos that sound brings me right back to about 1982 and riding around in a Ford 8600 pulling a Gehl chopper
That is a cool chopping team. I wish I could film an 8600 and Gehl.

for 300 hp you guys go with 7r i presume
Hello, if it's not a secret, how much does a liter of milk cost you in Poland now 36 cents. I have 95 cows and 50 fattenings. Regards from Poland 🇵🇱
Holy hell! Ever seen a grease gun??!!??
Why buy grease when you can just buy a tractor??
The cab on that harvester is louder than I thought it would be
Gracias por esos videos, me encanta trabajar con John Deere.
That 660R needs some grease for sure on the loader
When was this filmed? Are you guys going into summer in the US? Here in Australia it’s going into winter, not that it’s that cold where I live.
How many wagons were they running ? Looked like a big farm, 4 loaders bunch of other ones. How many head do they have ?
Nice chopper keep up the work btp!!
Awesome video BTP!
Thank you for watching.
JD 70 ,0ne row harvester ,flare box wagon with false front. Yr 1958. Me 12 yrs old driving the A or B JD on wagon.
Very cool. Thank you for sharing. I wish I could go back in time with a digital camera and film a harvest like that in 1958.
Real farm to table operation
😁👍
Haven't seen these ag-bags this side of the pond yet Jason.

Are the bags trashed after one use?
Yes. They are recycled
Another really interesting video BTP. Thanks for the great explanation so its easier for us non farmers to understand.
😁👍. Thank you for watching.
Which forage harvester would you say is the best one on the market BTP?

Just curious why they unhook the pto on the forage wagon?
Guy M. Balo PTO shafts can be easy to bend if you turn too sharp. The wagons have light duty pto shafts.
Does the 9600i have the Liebherr engine?
🤚👍👍👍👍👍
that loader sounds like it desperately needs a bit of TLC from a grease gun, judging by all the squeaky moving parts
The grass mowed to deep, the gras swathed to deep. This result to much raw ash in the feed.

Most likely it does.
Its crazy to think that the 9600 is almost mid range as far horsepower goes. I think the top krone is over 1000 hp but i could be wrong.

Is there an auto guidence for mowers?
Yes the mower in this video is using auto guidance.
