Last shot brought back great memories. I ran Dad's 4020 pulling a John Deere #38 Two row chopper. He ran a 4520 pulling a second one. Back in 1974. We custom chopped 200,00 tons that year.
Super 😎👍! Brought back memories of the days I used to do Corn Silage Research and the Fox Chopper, my Buddy bought one & made a lot of $ opening up fields for pull-type choppers. Merry Christmas!
Worked in product engineering at Worked at Ford new Holland as well as Sperry new Holland before they got bought out by Ford The Wopper chopper was running way to slow? We tested as well other manufacturers were field tested at our facility. The tear down to see the inner works was enjoyable see. The sounds are great to hear.
New Holland 880 is what I grew up using and badger forage wagons pulled it with a John Deere 4450 also had a New Holland model 30 blower filling silo hooked to a John Deere 7600
This video runs the entire range from the 925 hp Claas, to the 95 hp John Deere. The self propelled harvesters powered by the Detroit Diesels made the same amount of noise, whether they were chopping corn or not!
WOW.....remember the old days, back in the 40-50's we had a GEHL one row PT pulled with Massey Harris 44 Special filed two 40' silos seamed like took for ever to fill the silos. Today with a 12 row machine could fill in one day !!!!!!! Call it progress !!
My top ten self propelled Harvesters are 1. Uni- System703 2.Uni- system 803c 3. NH whoop chopper 4. NH1880 5. JD 5820 6. Fox 6650 7. Dion 7600 8. CaseIH 8790 Oliver840 10. Heston 7655 Field Queen
Like watching BigX 1100 at work cutting corn silage but I do like Claas. Interesting seen 1038 with nearly 400hp pulling forage harvester as Krone has forage built to hook onto 3 point linkage n operating in reverse drive for 1038 n bigger brother.
Very interesting to see that Versatile standard tractor, are there many in the states? Would be very interesting to see how they unload these trailers - presumably into tower silos?
4:40 Funny moment Almost looks like the dog gets run over/ pulled into the machine, and then you start hearing that bone jarring sound as larger chunks get thrown into the wagon.
I ran the same 5830 chopper with the same 4 row small drum head. Great head but the JD chopper was.....eh could have been better. Get hot quick, pain to change KP and auger bed, sharpening the knives was an ordeal, had to take half the knives out to get 3/4” cut.
The biggest BigX with it's 24 l - 12 cylinder - engine is a monster, it chops also all those other harvesters.... But it starts at 540.000€, so you have to chop all day long to earn your money.
i remmber when my naighbor bought a new fox super D and his first name was dick,i bet you can figure out what his new nickname was,and it stuck with him till the day of his funeral.here is to you super D.
These Harvester companies are just so good at what they do...and they work hard...always fun to watch
Love the "pull type"....old school....golden age of farming...!!!!
The 782 was a rare find.

Your garden is thriving and it is a joy to see
It is nothing short of impressive the amount of material these new choppers can handle

I like the old ones and pull-types, that Fox and Hesston are quite cool machines 😎
Those were great finds.
Great video! Loved that Peterbilt 379 pulling that Meyer wagon!!
😁👍
#10 4020 narrow front hands down best setup
I worked for this tight wad farmer where I operated a claas 6 row chopper. I had the oldest one of the bunch. It was about year 2003.
Thanks for throwing in that JD 4020!
I love these end of year videos!
😁👍. Several more on the way.
The Hesston and Fox are awesome unique machines, thanks for sharing, very nice
They were extra nice finds this year by my friend John in Wisconsin.
Very cool Jason. Some of those harvesters are just beasts!! Quite an appetite for corn/hay!!
😁👍👍

Pull types are my favorite this what we had growing in the 80s.
My favorite was the Fox. The Hesston was kind of funky. I guess I like the old school ones.
I really like those dion choppers. Would like to have one someday.
Dion builds an impressive chopper. They are neat to film.

That little Fox 6600 was really cool and I like the unique Hesston
They were good classic finds this year.
Alot of cool choppers

These were all great, thanks
The old fox just goes, too bad AC went out long time ago. I could see the sweat, or at least feel it going down my back.
A farmer not to far away from me had a self propelled fox chopper like that except his was a open station 😁👍👍
Very cool.
Thanks for another great video Sir. Merry Christmas to you.
😁👍 Merry Christmas.
Great stuff!
8 people mustnt like choppers😆
They're the kind of people that take 20 items through the 10 items or less express lane.
Saludos cordiales desde Sudamérica Santa Cruz bolivia 🇧🇴 👍 excelente 💜 okey 👏 🔟 puntos amigos 👏 🇧🇴👍👍🎄👏🎄😁🎄🎄🎄
Knowledgable to watch thank you
Thank you for watching.
The hesston looks cool👍😉 you filmed awesome choppers this year😁👍 well done👍
The Hesston was a great find by my friend John.
That newer head on that JD 5830 is good idea to keeping good old machine going.
It’s a good combo for sure.
Nice variety✌👍
It was a good year of filming.
@@bigtractorpower @ 6:11 minutes in, was the driver drunk?
No he was squaring off a point row. The White 8710 with Dion was in the same field. The pull grabbed the pint row pass.
@@bigtractorpower What is a pint pass row?
Awesome video!
Thank you for watching.
Great work.
Thank you for your video merry Christmas happy new year
Merry Christmas.

Oh...a yellow fendt, that's why it can't go any faster 😂😂
Interesting. Silage isn’t much of a thing in our area. And corn is pretty rare here too. Those corn crops must yield a lot of t/ ha.🇦🇺👍
Typically farms are looking for 22 to 25 tons of corn per acre in Silage.
Have you run across any Deere/Dion pull types yer?
Yes several Dions.
7:58 the award for the slowest New Holland ever goes to...
Like watching BigX 1100 at work cutting corn silage but I do like Claas. Interesting seen 1038 with nearly 400hp pulling forage harvester as Krone has forage built to hook onto 3 point linkage n operating in reverse drive for 1038 n bigger brother.
The high capacity Dion Forage Harvesters have been growing in popularity over the past few years here. The 3pt mounted Krone would be neat to see.
Good stuff!
I run a 2014 John Deere 7210R pulling a New Holland FP230 and Miller pro high dump
Very nice set up. I like pull type choppers and dump wagon combos.
Very interesting to see that Versatile standard tractor, are there many in the states? Would be very interesting to see how they unload these trailers - presumably into tower silos?
Do you have the Krone BigX 1180 in the US ?
The 1180 is offered in the US but I have not had the opportunity to film one yet. Claas and John Deere a fairly dominate in the market here.
Our neighbor has one in mantorville minnesota
Boy the Detroit diesels stand out!!
They sure do.
The best forge harvest is 708 UNI-System for not only a harvest it’s all so a corn picker a combine and snow blower In one.

You made a spelling mistake. You said 2019 and not 2020
Last year’s title. Thank you. Fixed
Wooow , but the trailers is tiny for the John Deere 8 r , the first is a claas jaguar is a 960/ 990 ? 🤔
The Claas is a 990.
@@bigtractorpower Thank you
400 hp Tractor for a pulltype Harvester...amazing......here in Germany you see none pulltypes...
👍👍
Thank you Scruffy.

For me the best is john deere
👍👍
claas is the king of choppers, krone second position
claas and new holland have best combines, but new holland cr have too big fuel consumption
👍👍
No.7 was very anticlimactic. Always been a Jaguar guy.
The Whooper Chopper was a monster in its day. First 6 row corn chopper on the market.
We run 2 nh fr850
Impressive. Monster choppers.
👏👏👏👍👍👍💪💪🚜🚜🚜🇧🇷
