When I went to Rwanda in 2018 on a solo trip, I went to kisoro in Uganda from Kigali the I returned back to Kigali then went to kibuye
I stayed in St John Hotel on Lake kivu
It was beautiful

Why it called kibuye?

Kibuye is a kinyarwanda name meaning a big stone. Therefore most part of this area (Kibuye) is covered by stones. The town is built on stones this why is called Kibuye. Hope it is clear now
