Over the years this has been one of my favorite 12 year drams when I wanted something different. Cheers Fellas 🥃 😎

I am way past this in my scotch journey but this is a nice single malt. I would call it more for a beginner on a scotch journey. I love complexity and have moved on but this Highland park is nice once in awhile. The heather is amazing! I love that in Highland Park! I want a more complex, delicious daily pour (even if it costs a lot more!!) and definitely move towards amazing peated whiskies. There are also many non-peated single malts that I love. Great video guys! This is superb info and I love your vibe when you are all together! Hey I have heard a new Scapa is coming! I hope so - sounds exciting! I have a trip to Islay and other parts of Scotland with distilleries this summer! Can't wait!! LOVE my peat! Hopefully lots of videos are coming soon! Love them! Great thoughts as always! Cheers!

If anyone asks me where to start, this is the answer. Not too complex and confusing, not too much of anything, smooth and also a good entry to peat. I tend to ignore it these days but that is where the journey began!

Highland Park and Johnny Walker Green are the best introductions to peat.

Had this at a friends house it’s good. Probably won’t purchase where I’m at in my scotch journey. The only bottle I’ve bought of the Viking era is the cask strength which is delicious. And spot on with the older labels, 15, 18, Dark Origins, Full Volume I’ve got a backup of each and will be sad to see them gone

Stellar review boys!! My son and I did a side by side with the old 12 and the New Viking 12. A noticeable difference, but both were great in their own way. He picked up the peat and it was awesome to see! Love the reviews and Cheers Dummies!🥃

we've just been in orkney and we did a tasting at scapa. i can tell you, brace yourselves for their new core range coming out later this year, for it will all be age statements! and the stuff we tasted at scapa was easily as good as the hp expressions.

I went through several bottle when I first got into scotch, but as I went back to it I think it comes off too young. I happily drink it at a bar if they have it.

Here in Europe it's only 40%. I hate that.

If you want a true thick whiskey get a nikka from the barrel. For me it's pudding in a glass and really Vs other Japanese whiskey the price is not bad

HP12 rocks! Just a touch of briney sea salt coming out of the heathered peat. It's $65.

If it were say $40 to $45 like Glen Livet 12 it would be worth occasionally buying, anything much above that and it looks better on the store shelf than on mine.

The way I was introduced to peat was Ardbeg. And it was like bam!!! Like WTF is this cos it’s just unbelievable! I mean I’ve always liked whiskey but I drank it for the sake of getting drunk. But now I really enjoy the drink, each sip taking in all flavors. My preference obviously is Islay or anything Smokey but I love everything in between also. And this is thanks to Ardbed. Can’t imagine one of the smokies whiskeys turned me into this. But good whiskey is good whiskey so once you know you’re never going back. I’m yet to try a Highland Park though so this is top priority.

I got it for 45 at total wine today. It’s good but there’s lot of options in 30s that worth trying. Can you guys review Bothan single malt bourbon expression? I tried it and was impressed.. what say? Just want to add, apparently no one is reviewing it … not sure why… it’s lowland
